LESSON PLAN
TOPIC : Numbers and Counting
STUDENTS’ AGE : 5 Years Old
DURATION : 35 Minutes
GOALS : At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to;
1. To introduce and practice counting numbers from 1 to 10.
2. To develop basic math skills and number recognition.
3. To enhance vocabulary related to numbers and counting.
METHOD :
1. Interactive and engaging activities to promote hands-on
learning.
2. Visual aids and multimedia resources to support
understanding.
3. Encouraging participation and collaboration among
students.

I. ACTIVITIES
A. Opening Activities (5 Minutes)
1. Begin by introducing the concept of numbers and counting.
2. Use visual aids such as flashcards or pictures to show the numbers from 1 to 10.
3. Ask students to repeat the numbers after you.
B. Main Activities (25 Minutes)
1. Number Recognition:
 Display the numbers from 1 to 10 on the screen or on flashcards.
 Ask students to identify the numbers by pointing to them.
 Encourage students to count the numbers in sequence.
2. Counting Game:
 Play a simple counting game where students have to count the number of
objects shown on the screen or in a picture.
 For example, show a picture of 5 apples and ask students to count how
many apples are in the picture.
3. Number Sequence:
 Write the numbers from 1 to 10 on the board or on a chart.
 Ask students to put the numbers in sequence from lowest to highest.

C. Closing Activities (5 Minutes)


1. Number Memory:
 Show a set of numbers on the screen or on flashcards.
 Ask students to close their eyes and then recall the numbers in sequence.
2. Number Song:
 Sing a simple song that incorporates counting numbers from 1 to 10.
 Encourage students to join in and sing along.

III. GAMES
A. Animal Guessing
This game involves students guessing numbers by using "Telepathy" to read the
teacher's mind, making it a fun and interactive way to practice numbers
B. Number Swap
This game helps students practice numbers while testing their concentration.
Students make a circle and decide on a number to count to, then take turns
counting until they reach that number.
