2 SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL INSTRUCTIONS

2.1 Safety
CRUSHING HAZARD! Causes death or serious injury. Do not carry
out maintenance or repair work when the drilling rig is running. Make
sure that the rig cannot be started unintentionally during the
maintenance and repair work.

Only personnel with specifically relevant operation and service

training are permitted to perform operation, maintenance, and
adjustment procedures. Read the operation and maintenance
instructions before using or servicing the equipment.

Note! Prevent impurities or moisture from entering electrical cabinets and

boxes during maintenance or replacement of electrical system
components. Impurities and moisture in the electrical system cause
oxidation and malfunction.

KES1
• Two main relays K2.1 and K2.2 with auxiliary contacts
- Main contacts (in series) are controlling the supply voltage to a
certain outputs of the IFM modules
- Auxiliary contacts (connected in series) are used to monitor the state
of the main contacts
- Safety relay KES1 is monitoring the main relays
• Note! IFM modules are alive (power on) when the emergency stop is
activated
