Collaboration
Issue
As a senator, I’ve noticed that multiple colleges can collaborate and work on joint initiatives that
would benefit both colleges. I’d like to see more connection between the tribunal senators, as well as
an increased collaboration between East campus, West camps, and the regional campuses.

How I can help

One of the moving pieces in setting up inter-tribunal socials
Diligently collaborated with the CoN, CAHS, and COM tribunals to promote cross-collegiate
collaboration and community building

Next Steps
Continue forging connections among related and unrelated colleges --> host more interesting
events across campus
Each college collaborates with another college and hosts an event based on their shared interests
Accessibility
Issue
There is confusion regarding what is required of us in terms of holding office hours. A lot of senators
are having trouble with outreach in their colleges and getting insight into potential initiatives from
their respective college undergrads during their public office hour.

How I can help

Good resource to the Senators/ensure they fully understand their responsibilities
Understanding of Senators’ schedules
Quick at responding to emails and text messages

Next Steps
Before the academic year begins, meet up with the tribunal senators and ensure they understand
their responsibilities - this allows them to spend more time working on initiatives during the
academic year
Require senators to table 2-3 times during the semester as part of their public office hour
Communication
Goal
Keep senators up-to-date and help them with their initiatives
Helping new tribunal senators get acquainted and adapted to the Senate Room

How I can help

Senate Room can be daunting, especially since they represent their entire college
I am easily approachable, friendly, and non-judgemental
I want to make the transition period smoother for the new senators.

Next Steps
Continue with the 1:1 monthly meetings
For the new Senators, I’ll meet with them during their first couple weeks of senate, get to know them
better, and help them in any way possible
Regularly holding socials (once a semester, or so) for all the senators and exec to meet outside of the
Senate Room. This allows us to get to know each other on a more personal level rather than just Senator
