On October 14, 1935, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed The Social Security Act, originally was just
a retirement program in which only paid retirement benefits to the primary workers. Throughout time the
Social Security (SS) has implemented more benefits not only to the primary workers but also to the most
needed people. Today there are more people who benefits from the SS and less people contributing to
this system. Being aware of this problem , the population submitted to the services that provides the SS
can benefits from the privatization of the SS and what effects can this decision may bring to the working
class.

Purpose
The purpose of this research is to focus on what are the benefits towards the working class of the
privatization of the Social Security. This is a great need to know not just because this is a political debate
between the parties of the United States to privatize the System but also is the economic health for that
new generation that is entering the labor force.

,i3 Objectives
The main objective of this research will be directed on finding the direct benefits that the Social Security
can give of the working class. Not only will be focused on the direct benefits but also is to study and know
widely the concept of privatization and its advantages and disadvantages that can bring to the population
and why it should be privatized the Social Security.

Social Security is part of public finances of a country. t also represents one of the largest debts of
governments.

ethodoIogy
n a qualitative method, there will be interviews with people knowledgeable in the field of finances to see
their views on the subject, also research articles will be used from trusted sources. On quantitative
method, we will use data and statistics of the Social Security in order to analyze the benefits that the
privatization of the Social Security can provide the American people.
