Semester End (Even) Theory Regular/Carryover Examinations 2023-24
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO THE STUDENTS
1. Candidate has to follow the prescribed examination schedule, failing which the university will not be responsible if he / she misses any examination paper. You are required to check the schedule regularly on the university website (iul.ac.in) and through HOD/Course coordinator for any change. 2. Reporting time at the exam center is half an hour before the commencement of the examination. No entry is allowed if he/she is late by half an hour after the commencement of the examination. 3. Entry in the examination building/room will not be permitted without a HOD signed admit card. 4. If any student has not brought his/ her admit card, a provisional admit card shall be issued from the control room after submitting the requisite fee in the account section. 5. Candidate has to occupy his / her own allotted seat as per the color code /roll no. Check the seat and its surroundings for any objectionable materials. 6. Seating plan may change in every paper examination. Therefore, check the seating plan regularly at the IUSMS app after 8.00PM day before the date of examinations. 7. Candidate is also required to write only his/her roll no. on question paper and nothing else, as soon as it is received by him/her. 8. Candidate has to sign on the attendance sheet/verification form every day in the examination room. 9. Candidates shall write all the required details on the cover page of answer copies. 10. No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination room without submitting his / her answer copies to the invigilator. Candidates should not bring the bag, books, papers, reference materials, electronic gadgets, mobile phones, smart watches and any other objectionable material in the examination hall/room otherwise he / she would face stern action under the rules. Leaving the bags, mobiles etc. outside the examination building/room shall be purely at their own risk. 11. No extra time shall be given at the end of the examination to account for the late arrival of the candidates. 12. No candidate shall be allowed to leave the examination room for any purpose within the first half hour of the commencement of the examination. 13. No student shall leave the examination room before the time is over. 14. The candidate visiting the toilet must write the exit and entry time on the form provided to the invigilator. However, frequent visits to the toilet by the candidate is not allowed. 15. In case, any candidate feels extremely sick/ distressed, he may request invigilators to make necessary transport arrangements to escort him to the University Hospital. 16. Receiving /giving assistance in any form to any other student, exchange of stationary, tearing the page of answer sheet / question paper and tempering with answer sheets are also covered under unfair-means and will be dealt strictly as per the rules of university. 17. In the examination room, the candidate shall be under the disciplinary control of the invigilators and he/she shall obey the instructions of invigilators. No candidate shall use unfair-means or indulge in disorderly conduct or malpractice during or in connection with the examinations else he will be subjected to punishments prescribed in university rules. 18. A candidate indulging in any of the following acts in the examination room will be considered as Misconduct in the examination and will be subjected to stern punishments prescribed in university rules including legal action. I. Candidate disobeying the instructions of the CS/ACS/invigilators/flying squad member or any other university appointed officials on examination duty. II. Candidate exhibiting insolent/violent behavior with the invigilators or other examination staff or other examinees. Unruly behavior in or near the examination room. III. Acts of threats, violence, creating disturbance inside/ outside the examination hall, preventing other candidates from entering the room, misbehavior with the supervising staff etc. IV. Bringing weapons/ articles into the examination center/ room on any pretext. V. Any acts by candidates that hinder the discharge of duty by staff on examination duty or the smooth conduct of the examination. VI. Causing damage to the belongings of Examiners, as an act of vengeance. VII. Causing damage to examination material/ records. VIII. Assaulting physically or attempting to attack any examination staff while being caught/ booked for any malpractice. IX. Writing filthy/ indecent/ vulgar words/ making a mark of identification or sketching obscene figures etc. in the answer-booklet or black board, walls or furniture at the examination center.
