The Department of Education (DepEd) issues the enclosed Guidelines on strengthening the fire safety

and awareness program (FSAP) which aim is to establish specific roles responsibilities and monitoring
and evaluation mechanisms for the safety and awareness program in the schools which was launched
through DepEd Order Nos. 72, s.2012and 13,s2013.

Since Sta Rita Elementary school experienced fire 5 years ago, School head as well as 1 male teacher and
8 female teachers initiated General PTA meeting to discuss the data using School Report Card (SRC) as
well as the Priority Improvement Area, and School Operating Budget. We also discussed to 150 parents
members of GPTA 10 barangay officials the importance of preventive and protective measures, and
the emergency planning process for most effective keeping of 257 learner’s and 9 teachers 150 parents
in the community safe. We allotted fund from MOOE to procure fire Extinguisher and Identification of 9
teachers 1 male teachers and 9 female teachers including school head.

The details of fire extinguisher and identification card will be stated in the program.

Objective:

1To ensure the safety of 257 learners, 9 teachers 1 male and 9 female teachers and school head in the
school .

2. Ensure the provision of fire safety and protection equipment such identification card which should not
be limited to fire extinguishers. Other equipment or materials may include.

3. We must be safe, prepare in any calamities especially this time of pandemic.
