My name is EL AOURCHE MOUNA, I was your student in SEMESTER 8, and I was in GFC 1.

After Professor GHARIB informed me of your decision, i wanted to tell you what happened and I hope
you hear me till the end.

First, i am sending you this e-mail to express my sincere apologies for my actions during the recent
exam. I deeply regret attempting cheating, and I take full responsibility for my behavior.

So the context was that last year someone stole my phone from my bag when we were passing
exams, and I did not find out who was it yet, so this year I kept my phone with me in my pocket all
the time, so it does not happen again.

For me, when I found out that we will be studying strategic management in English, I found it really
interesting and exciting, so I attended all your classes, I was always present and i did all the
assignment that you gave us.

And I spent so much time preparing for the final exam like so much time.

But the thing that we have in this school is that some student, they never attended your classes, they
never did any assignment, and the day of the final exam, they come, they bring their phones with
them to cheat and just like that, with no effort, without any preparation, they get a very high mark in
their exams, and the student who spent a whole week preparing and stressing about their exams and
future in general, they don’t do well.

For my case, I have never attempted cheating in my whole life, I spent a lot of time preparing and
revising because I care deeply about your class and I really wanted to pass it.

As I said before, my phone was with me the whole time, the reason that made me use it, is that at
some point when you got out, every single student grabbed theirs and started to search about
answers in chatgpt.

For my part, I had difficulties answering one question, so when I saw everyone just “cheating”, I
attempted to that too. But the thing is, comparing to others, is that I did not do it, I grabbed my
phone and put it between my legs, that was the time when you came to me and told me to change
my seat. And you saw that I had my phone.

I repeat, I did not cheat, I attempted to but the second I was putting my phone in front of me, you
came and took it away and that’s when you told me to get out of the class. And you can verify this,
you can take a look at my paper, there is nothing there.

So, I’m sending you this e-mail, to apologize first, and to tell you that i regret it so much, it was my
first time in my life to attempt to do it, just because I saw everyone did it, and it will be my last time.

I attended all of your classes, I was never absent, you can check that if you want, I did all the
assignment that you asked us to do, I took the exam that you gave us in class where we answered it
in a group of 3 “the one that was before the final exam”.

So, I’m asking you to give me a second chance, please, and allow me to pass the exam with the
others “RATTRAPPAGE”.
Because the only thing that I want the most in this life is to make my family happy, so if it was not for
me, give me a chance just for them.

I genuinely appreciate the effort and dedication you put into teaching, and I am deeply sorry for any
disappointment and inconvenience my actions may have caused. I hope you can find it in your heart
to forgive me.
