We hope this letter finds you well, despite the recent challenging circumstances faced by the residents
of Phase 5a in the Village of St. Jude, Brgy, Kanlurang Mayao Lucena City

We are writing to urgently address a critical issue that has significantly impacted our community. The
aftermath of Typhoon Aghon has caused devastating flooding in Phase 5a due to the inadequacy of the
water drainage system. The resulting floodwaters rose to chest height, inflicting extensive property
damage and leaving many families displaced and in great distress.

The current state of affairs is alarming, and it is crucial to take immediate action to address the water
drainage deficiencies in Phase 5a. The existing infrastructure is ill-equipped to handle extreme weather
events, thereby posing a significant threat to the safety and well-being of our residents.

In response to this urgent matter, we urgently request that you prioritize the following detailed
actions:

1. Conduct a thorough assessment of the water drainage system in Phase 5a to identify specific
areas of weakness and vulnerability.
2. Develop a detailed plan for the rehabilitation and enhancement of the drainage infrastructure,
taking into account the unique geographical and weather conditions to effectively mitigate
potential future flooding risks.
3. Allocate necessary resources and manpower to expedite the implementation of the proposed
solutions, ensuring a swift and effective response to the critical situation.
4. Establish transparent communication channels and foster collaboration with the affected
residents throughout the process. Provide regular updates and actively seek their input and
feedback to ensure their needs and concerns are adequately addressed.

It is of utmost importance for the Village of St. Jude developer to fulfill its responsibility to provide a safe
and habitable environment for all residents. Failure to promptly address this pressing issue will only
exacerbate the suffering and hardship endured by the affected families.
