ACTIVITY 1: HEATING MATERIALS

GROUP 1: a piece of crayon


GROUP 2: a piece of chocolate cube
GROUP 3: a spoonful of margarine
Materials: a piece of crayon, chocolate, margarine, candle,
matchstick, tin can, pot holder
Procedure:
1. Placing each material in a tin can.
2. Using a matchstick, light the candle.
3. Use pot holder; hold the tin can over the flame.
4.Heat the tin can for 2-3 minutes. Observe what happen. Take note
of your observation when the material is heated.
5. After 2-3 minutes, remove the tin can from the flame.
6. Observe what happens to each material.
7. Write down your observations.

ACTIVITY 2: COOLING MATERIALS

Materials: ice cube, bowl, used materials for the first activity.
Procedure:
1. Place the tin can in a bowl of ice for 5 minutes
