The Battle of the Labyrinth

Exposition
● Percy meets Rachel when he goes to his step-fathers school and he's ambushed
by Empousai.
● The school's gymnasium was blasted to smithereens.
● He meets Annabeth, they cancel their plans together and escape to Camp
Half-Blood.
● Percy tries to kill a hellhound in the arena but was stopped by Quintus, the sword
master saying that is his pet, Mrs. O'Leary and it was harmless.
● Grover has 2 weeks to find Pan or he'll lose his searches license
● They found an entrance to the labyrinth.
Rising Action 1
● Annabeth, Clarisse and Chiron suspected Luke and Kronos
were planning to use the labyrinth to infiltrate the camp,
Annabeth goes to the Oracle.
● When Annabeth received her prophecy but chose to hide it
from everyone, she chose Percy, Grover and Tyson to go
with her.
● Percy received an iris message that showed Nico Di Angelo
with a ghost named Minos, an evil ghost that used to a king.
● They go into the labyrinth and find Janus (the god of
choices), Hera appears and Janus leaves
● Hera can grant a wish. Annabeth wished for a way to
navigate the labyrinth. Hera said Percy already knew how
but he didn’t.
● Hera advises them to visit Hephaestus, he knows what
happened to Daedalus
Rising Action 2
● They ran into Alcatraz where a Briaries the
hundred-handed one. he was jailed and Tyson broke him
out
● Kampê chased them, and they escaped
● Briaries left them
● They went into a ranch, where they found Nico
● Someone had paid to save Percy, Annabeth, Tyson and
Grover
● Eurytion gives them a spider that leads them to Hephaestus
because he did Hephaestus a favor.
● Annabeth and Percy found Hephaestus, they do him a
favor and check on what's happen at Mount St. Helens
● They see Telekhines create Kronos’ scythe
● Annabeth escapes as Percy blows up the volcano with him
still inside with the monsters.
Rising Action 3
● Percy is sent to Ogygia where he meets
Calypso.
● Hephaestus gives him the choice to leave and
he left to help his friends
● After 2 weeks, Percy was presumed dead, and
he sees his own funeral
● Percy tells them that they need a clear-sighted
mortal to navigate the labyrinth
● They enter the labyrinth with Rachel and go
into an underground arena
● They are forced to fight others to the death by
a son of Poseidon and Gaea named Antaeus
● Percy challenges Antaeus to a duel
● Percy killed his brother and is chased into the
labyrinth
Climax 1

● There was an earthquake and they ran into

a steel hallway
● Percy, Annabeth and Rachel rushed
towards Daedalus’ headquarters
● Quintus entered the room and Percy
realized that Quintus was Daedalus but in a
different body. Daedalus had managed to
transfer his animus.
● Daedalus reveals that he had give
Ariadne's string to Luke and he was able to
navigate the labyrinth in exchange for
freedom, Icarus (The boy who flew too
close to the sun) and Perdix (His nephew
that he killed)
Climax 2
● Kelli, Minos and other enemies enter the
room
● Nico was being held hostage
● They started fighting and Nico sent Minos
back to the underworld
● They escaped without Daedalus
● They went back into the labyrinth and they
saw Mount Othrys, home of the titans
● Percy saw Kronos possessing Luke
● Kronos was attacked and distracted by
Rachel with a blue hairbrush
Falling Action 1

● They found Grover and Tyson

● They found Pan and Pan gave them all
(except for Nico) a gift and Pan faded soon
after
● They escaped and got back to Camp
Half-Blood
● They arrived in time to help prepare for the
oncoming attack
● Kronos' army came out of the labyrinth and
they started a battle
● Daedalus, Briaries, and Mrs. O'Leary rush
out the labyrinth and started fighting the
monsters, and then Kampê appeared
 Falling Action 2
● Grover unleashed a powerful cry called
panic, his gift from Pan
● The enemy forces retreated into the
Labyrinth
● Daedalus sacrificed his life to close the
Labyrinth because it was tied to his life
force
● Daedalus gives his laptop which contained
his life's work to Annabeth
● The camp was saved at the cost of some
lives
 Resolution 1
● Nico left the camp after dinner because
he thought he had no place at camp
● Annabeth tells Percy the last of the
prophecy that she had kept from him
● Hera reveals she paid Geryon and sent
Percy to Ogygia
● They both insult her by telling her that
she may be the goddess of family, but
she only cares about her "perfect
family"
● Percy goes back to his family to
celebrate his fifteenth birthday with his
mom, his stepdad, and Tyson.
Resolution 2
● Poseidon appeared at their door to wish Percy a happy
birthday and to give him a gift that would help him, a sand
dollar.
● Poseidon claims Percy is his true favorite son when Percy
tells Poseidon about Antaeus and how he sacrificed people
in the name of Poseidon and how he claimed he was
Poseidon's favorite son.
● Poseidon leaves and Nico arrives to discuss a plan with
Percy for when he reaches sixteen, when he does then a
prophecy will be revealed to him and it said he will
allegedly either save or destroy Olympus
