INTO GHANA COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY FOR

MSC. PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

INTRODUCTION
With a growing inspiration to become a Procurement Officer/Manager as well a strong desire
to be exposed to newer chapters in the field of procurement and supply chain management,
leads to my application of the graduate program at your institution.
My aspirations for pursuing this graduate study stems from the deep impulse to advance my
knowledge, skills and contributions to the field and also make a meaningful impact in the
area of Procurement and Supply Chain Management.

BACKGROUND
My work experiences at the Ghana School of Law over the years of employment in the legal
sector, I have been exposed to various aspects of the field of study which has since fueled my
curiosity and enthusiasm. My current work designation which entails taking inventory of
supplies needed for efficient execution of work within my department, has enabled me to
explore and assess to some extent the procurement practices in the legal entities and has
further sparked the craving to probe further.
It has also provided the chance of some form of understanding of the field’s challenges and
opportunities.

RESARCH INTERESTS
I aim to investigate the Assessment of Procurement Practices in legal entities and to
contribute to the development and recommendation of the effective of procurement practices.
My research interests include:
1. Assessing general procurement practices of legal entities in Ghana.
2. Evaluating the effective implementation of the Procurement Acts in the legal field in
Ghana.
3. Outlining the challenges faced in Procurement Practices
4. Suggesting effective procurement practices where needed.
The ultimate goal is to gather a vast data on the procurement practices as well as challenges
faced by these entities and also suggest or recommend proven workable practices to resolve
the challenges.
CAREER OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of my graduate study, I plan to pursue a career in Procurement and Supply
Chain Management and become a leading expert in my field. I aspire to work in vast fields
preferably the legal field however, I am always up for new challenges and work experiences.
The ultimate peak is to further as a Chartered Procurement Officer in order to contribute to
the advancement of the field of study through innovative research, collaboration and
knowledge acquisition and sharing.

WHY GHANA COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY?

Working smart and being innovative has always been a hallmark of achieving better results
which I uphold greatly. I am drawn to the Ghana Communication Technology University for
the strong reputation in the use of advanced technology in all spaces. I am particularly
impressed with the recent unveiling of the Faculty of Computing and Information Systems
block- “The Computing and Technology Hub” which seeks to forge the institution as one of
the leading technology-oriented institutions worldwide and believe this notion resides with
my personal conviction of a digitalized workspace. I also believe that your expertise will be
invaluable in guiding my research.

CONCLUSION
Pursuing graduate study at the Ghana Communication Technology University will enable me
to achieve my academic and professional goals and ensure that I make meaningful
contributions to the field of study in procurement and supply chain management. I am
confident that my passion, dedication and strong work ethics and zeal to learn new things will
make me a valuable asset to your academic community.
