Import the data into Excel and perform the following requirements:
1) Reformat the Check-in and Check-out columns to dd/mm/yy and sort by time (from the
beginning of the year to the end of the year by Check-in date)
2) Separate the Customer Full Name column into the Last Name, Middle Name, First
Name columns
3) Create columns: Staying days, Room price, Total room price, Meal price, Total meal
price, Total price, Discount, Discounted price.
4) Calculate the price for each room type according to the first 3 characters of the

T2 1,100,000 850,000 600,000
T3 1,200,000 950,000 700,000
T4 1,250,000 1,000,000 750,000
T5 1,300,000 1,050,000 800,000

Meal price is based on the last two characters of the Customer Code: F0: breakfast only,
no charge; Other types include total 3 meals, 2 afternoon meals, and 1 evening meal
according to the unit price in the table:
(Unit: VND/meal)
F1 F2 F3
200,000 150,000 100,000

5) Calculate Discount for each tourist, given that

a. If Check-in is on Sunday or the number of days of stay is >= 10 days, you will
receive a 5% discount on the room rate
b. If the number of days staying >= 20 days, you will receive a 10% discount on the
room rate
c. If the number of days staying >= 30 days, you will receive a 20% discount on the
room rate
d. In other cases, there is no reduction.

1- Insert column Team Name and Cyclist’s Name, given that 2 first letters of ID are Team code, 3 last
letters are Name code of Cyclist.
2- Given that the departure time is 6:00, calculate the cycling time of each cyclist (time = end –
departure)
3- Calculate speed by formula = total Km/cycling time, round up to nearest 10, format as km/h. (Total
KM = 120 km)
4- Sort cycling time data by individual and by team (ascending). Draw bar-chart by individual and
by team.

Exercise 3:
Salary data as follows:
