Equitable environment, Equality, Unfairness:

Now I would like to talk about the environment a free education system
creates. You might obviously think that it must be chill and full of life
since people from all classes of people are able to join. But do you think
that is enough to create a proper equitable learning environment?
Some people who still have an ability to afford education may join the
classes, faking their status, which actually deprives those who need
education the most. This is Bangladesh we are talking about after all.
Then isnt it gonna be unfair to others? Moreover you can say that free
education eliminates racism, and other class differences, but I would
like to state the fact that providing free education isnt alone gonna
mitigate these problems. Since these sytems arent gonna have any
proper official body or authority, it is going to be hard to inform the
concerned about the problems the institution is gonna face. So it will be
even harder to regulate the students, their behaviours, discipline, let
alone eliminate harsh bullying and others. Free education isnt
necessarily gonna create an equitable learning environment-since the
quality of education might be compromised and there will be teachers
forcing the students to join their coachings and stuffs, which will result
in more complicated problems. There may arise partiality or nepotism
among the students and the teachers. Moreover, students arent
necessarily going to get top notch education right? So isnt it unfair to
them since other students who pay tution fees get better education?
And above all, this is Bangladesh, where corruption is evident
everywhere, so isnt it possible that the government’s fundings for free
education arent really being used for free education? Isnt it gonna be
unfair to the tax payers and the government who is desperately trying
to develop our country? Now of course, organizers must be chosen
wisely, but apart from that free education may arise many other
equitable problems rather than mitigating them.
