Properties of eigen values and eigen vectors
• If the eigen values are: (λ=1), (λ=3), (λ=-2), the number of eigen vectors are exactly 3.
• If the eigen values are: (λ=1), (λ=1), (λ=1), the number of eigen vectors ≤ 3.
• If the eigen values are: (λ=1), (λ=1), (λ=5), there are one eigen vector for (λ=5), and
one or two eigen vectors for (λ=1).
