Internet Explorer runs in “Edge” mode. Applicaton is started In Compatbility” mode + This application cannot be used because itis started in a wrong browser mode. Internet Explorer runs in “Compatibility” mode. This can be determined using the "Compatibility View" settings ofthe Internet Explorer and by the page itself by specifying the mode with the ITTML, tag "X-UA= Compatible" or by adding it as @ header to the HTTP response of the page. Further there is a default logic which changes for the different version of Internet Explorer. Starting with IEg the so determined browser mode is enforced to all embedded [Frames within that page. Therefore itis not, possible to mix Standards Mode ("Edge") and Quirks mode application on a single page. It is not possible to determine the current browser mode on the server side, ‘To overcome the situation the most outer page (normally a Enterprise Portal, CRM, Fiori Lauchpad) must provide as solution the URL parameter "sap-ie to the inner frameworks, The popup is showing up in the inner application because the rendering mode of the outer page doesn't fit. This ean have two 1) The outer page doesn't provide correctly the sap-ie parameter 2) The inner page doesn't support the choosen rendering mode. In this case the outer page must be configured to run in the correct mode or by opening a new window This is only relevant for Microsoft Internet Explorer. | Solution 1 You are running 21) Enteratise Portal: Pease see note 1814711 and / or open an incident message on the component EP-PIN-AL 22) CRM application: Please see nate 1975402 and / or open an incident message on the component CAWULAPE li) if you are running a non SAP application as most outer page and embedding SAP content you can ty The following solution requires that the main page {which is directly loaded into the browser) sets the Internet Explorer browser mode explicitly via XUA-Compatible HTTP header or HTML tag, Relying on the browser build-n behavior of "Compatibility View" settings may result in diferent behavior per user. Issue 1: Internat Explorer runs in "Edge" made. Application is started in ,Compatibility" mode. ‘Ifan Unified Rendering-based application is embedded in a page that requires the latest Internet Explorer features the application needs to be aware of that. Solution: append the parameter sap-ie=Fdge to the URL of the Unified Rendering- based application, Ensure your Unified Rendering-based application already Supports standards mode otherwise you have to force the browser in Compatibility Mode (Quirks Mode), Alternatively start the Unified Rendering-based application in a new window. Issue 2: Internet Explorer runs in “Compatibility” mode. Application is started in Edge” mode, an Unified Rendering-based application is embedded in a page that isnot able to run with the latest Internet Explorer features the application needs to be aware ofthat Solution: Append the parameser sap-ie-EmulatelES to the URL of the Unified Rendering:-based application.
