Installation

1. Download the application software

– Download the software from the HAMEG Instruments Homepage (www.hameg.com)

– Choose your product by the product menu: Products >Oscilloscopes

– Choose your product and click on Software/Firmware

– You can download the Software by clicking the download button

– Please safe the file on your hard disk.

2. Installation of the software

– To start the installation, double click on the downloaded SP107E_V302.exe file.

– You will need administration rights to install the software correctly.

– In the upcoming command prompt choose “install as administrator” and insert your administra-
tion login data.

The following screenshot shows the error message of insufficient installation rights:

– After starting the installation, the installation wizard will guide you through the product installa-
tion. A detailed explanation of each installation step is provided below:

– Please close all open documents and programs to avoid data loss before continue with the
installation process.

– To start the installation process click

– In this dialog box, you should select a folder in which you want to install the program.

– Please check that there is enough space on the indicated drive.

Network drives are not supported for installing the software.

– Probably you may create a new subfolder for the application. Setup will extract all files into the
designated folder without creating new subfolders.

– To start the file extracting process, please click

– Please choose your start

menu folder and click

– Setup will now copy the

files on your hard disc.

– Probably some of your

system files are newer
than the files provided
with this software.
In this case keep the
newer file by clicking

in the appearing dialog

box.

– If the installation has been completed, the following message will be shown:

Documentation of the software:

The respective documentation of the general software as well as the detailed information of the FFT
module and the harmonic current emission module is implemented in the SP107E software menu
bar.

To view the manuals click on the question mark at the right side of the software menu bar like
shown at the picture down below.
