DETAILS ABOUT DIFFERENT ROUNDS

ROUND I – PRESENTATION
• Each speaker will introduce themselves and speak for or against the motion
• Time duration-1 minute
ROUND 2- CROSS QUESTIONING
• One speaker from team B will pick a lot and choose a speaker from the opponent team for cross
questioning.
• Time duration-1 minute
ROUND 3- REBUTTAL SESSION
• Both the team can argue with strong logical reasoning, qualified evidence, and clear implications
as to why their response beats the opponent’s case.
• Debaters should do their best to ensure that their responses are communicated in an effective
manner.
• Time duration- 5 minutes

ROUND 4-JUDGES’ QUESTIONS

• The judges pose questions to each team in turn. Each team will be given brief opportunities to
respond to those questions.
• Time duration- 1 minute for each team
