2. Paper Elements

• What is helpful to note: All papers must have title page, text, reference list

Title Page (paper title, author name, department name and Stenberg, course number and name,
instructor name, assignment due date (written out as November 14, 2020, page number 1 in the top
right corner)

Text (Writing)

Intro= the importance of the work, supports its with existing literature, states the aims of the work.
Paragraphs with main ideas/arguments and then conclusion. Headings used to break up text if needed

Reference list contains a list of the sources cited in the text

3. Paper Format

• What is helpful to note: All papers must have proper page Header, Font, Line spacing, Margins,
Paragraph Alignment and Indentation.

Page Header- page header always include a page number at that page numbers are in the top right
corner using the page-numbering function on wordof your word-processing program, that page number
should show on all pages)

Font (Sans serif Fonts: 11-point Calibri, 11-point Arial, or 10-point Lucida Sans Unicode) Serif Fonts: 12-
point times new Roman, 11-point Georgia, or normal 1o point computer modern)

Line spacing- (Double spaced of all parts of APA style paper, including text, block quotations, and the
reference list.

) Except: (Entries in a table body and words in a figure image may be single-spaced, one-and-a-half-
spaced, or double-spaced depending on which one is easy to read)

(Add extra blank line on the title page between the title and the byline, between the text and an
embedded table or figure)

Margins (Use 1-in margins on every side of the page)

Paragraph Alignment and Indentation (Align text to the left margin leave the right margin, first line of
each paragraph of text 0.5 in. from the lest margin using the tab key or paragraph formatting Function

Abstract: left align the first line of the abstract.
