Consider the three-lens system shown below. Scale approx 1:2.

(a) Find the system matrix and the location of the principal planes assuming thin lenses.
(b) Locate the image and determine the magnification of the object shown.
(c) Locate the entrance and exit pupils assuming the stop shown is the AS.
(d) Draw the chief ray and the limiting light bundle from the top of the object.
(e) Determine the depth of field and depth of focus for the axial object point shown. Assume that the acceptable blur circle
diameter is 0.02 mm.
