Perkins® Ecoplus fuel filters have been protecting Perkins engines for more than 20 years,
and now proven technology is available in oil filters for your Perkins® 904 Series engines.
Using a low quality oil filter can have severe
consequences. Engine oil contaminated with particulates
can cause piston, cylinder and bearing wear, especially
during start-up and sludge can block galleries and filters
which can reduce oil supply to critical components. The
consequences can include reduced power, increased
emissions, overheating and even turbocharger failure.
Easier and cleaner to change
Perkins® Ecoplus oil filters use a replaceable filter
element inside a reusable top cover and they are
mounted upright on the engine for easy access. Simply
unscrew the top cover and lift out the cap and element.
The oil automatically drains back into the block when the
cover is opened making the whole operation quick and
clean. Simply replace the element and screw the top
cover back on and the job is finished.

A high-quality bypass valve is permanently mounted

in the filter housing. And, because the filter stays full
of oil the engine primes more quickly which improves
start-up protection for sensitive components such as
turbochargers.

Finally, unlike common spin-on oil filters, a Perkins Ecoplus filter has no metal canister to be
disposed of, reducing the environmental impact of both filter production and filter disposal. This,
plus the fact that the more efficient filtration delivered by Ecoplus technology means the filter can be
physically smaller, further reduces the environmental impact.
The real cost of using a non-genuine filter may not show up immediately, but over time if early hour
component failures occur, the short term savings may be outweighed by additional costs of repairs
and replacements. A genuine Perkins Ecoplus oil filter is the best way to protect your investment.
