2. Installation
2.1. Package Content

* To use this adaptor, make sure the original AL1 was set with AT$IOCG=4,2,2. If the AT$IOCG was set to
other setting(s), this adaptor cannot be used, and installation wiring needs to be adjusted in order to work
with AK300.

2.3. SIM Card Installation 3. Place the NANO SIM horizontally by the direction shown. Flip
the holder down, and slide it until a “click” sound is heard.
AK300 supports installation of one NANO SIM card. To install a SIM card, please follow the
instruction below to remove the cover and insert the SIM.

1. Push the edge remarked and pull up the cover.

2. Unlock the SIM holder by sliding it up, and flip it up slightly

Command Description Refer to the table below for the pin definition of the optional relay provided by ATrack:

The DIODE connected between pin 85 and 86 is very important to protect the

You may explore great features on the AK300 through AT commands either over the direct serial
connection or remote via SMS/GPRS. The command syntax for direct or remote connections is the
same. Each command should be following the specified format in the Protocol Document, and the
command shall end with carriage-return and line-feed characters.

4.1. Connecting AK300 Using ACT Tool


The following example shows how to connect the AK300 through ACT Tool.

The following example shows how to connect the AK300 through HyperTerminal. You may use
other popular terminal emulators such as Putty or Tera Term Pro to establish a console session
with the AK300.

1. Run HyperTerminal, select the correct COM port, and then click on the [Configure…]
button.
