It is important to note that disabling Windows Defender and Smart Screen should
only be done temporarily and for specific reasons. These features provide vital
protection against potential threats and play a crucial role in maintaining the
security of your system. Therefore, once you have completed the installation or are
done with the specific task, it is highly recommended to re-enable both Windows
Defender and Smart Screen. Leaving them disabled for extended periods of time can
leave your system vulnerable to potential risks.
Under the "Virus & threat protection settings", click on "Manage settings".
Smart Screen, on the other hand, is a feature that helps protect your system from
potentially harmful websites and downloads. While it can be useful in preventing
you from accessing malicious content, it can also block legitimate software
installations. To temporarily disable Smart Screen, follow these instructions:
