The doll is crocheted using x stitch, in continuous
rounds (unless otherwise stated), using US crochet
terminology.
The difficulty level for Mathilda is intermediate.
Size of finished toy is 27 cm.
Crochet tightly.
Stuff all the pieces tightly with small portions of
fiberfill.
Make invisible decreases in front loops.

Cut 15 cm long wire (2 pieces) and fold the edges about 2
cm long. Insert wire to the arms. Do not fill the arms.
 Hair (Base)
Crochet with yellow color yarn

Strand 1-4: Chain 22, start in the third chain from the hook make

(hdcinc)*40, 20 hdc, skip one stitch and sc to next stitch on the
base (repeat same process for 3 hairstrands).

Strand 8-13 (bangs): Chain 26, start in the second chain from the

Strand 14-16: Chain 62, start in the third chain from the hook,

Hair (Assembling)
You can iron the bangs to make them look straighter. Make sure
the iron is not set too hot. Turn the wrong side of the wig up and
right side is glued to the head. Secure each strand of hair in its
appropriate position on the head using pins. Slowly remove each
strand to apply fabric glue and pin it back to dry. Cut 15 cm long
ribbon for each side and tie ribbons to the hair.
 Skirt (Pink)
Please make skirts at this stage, we will add them to the while we
are crocheting the body!
Crochet with pink color, chain 42 and sl st to the first chain to
form a circle.

Now we are going to make sock's cuff.

Using the white color yarn we bring out before, in the front loops of
23rd round, do treble crochet in each stitch. Fasten off and weave in
end.

Crochet 3 more stitches make sure that marker is right in the middle

Legs
Crochet the knee. Make sure that the marker of the round beginning

(repeat same process for also other boot)
Boots
Continue to crochet the remaining part of the boot.
We will use front loops for this and crochet over a total of 20 front
loops. (18 front loops at the front won't be used).

Turn the back of the shoe. Place marker 10 stitches forward from
the first frontloop.
Count 10 stitches forward from the last flo and place other marker.
Boots
We are going to work in rows. Attach pink yarn to the marker on the
right side of the shoe.

Do not cut the yarn we will continue crocheting.
Boots
Make inc to the first stitch and crochet the remaning straight part
6sc in total (1sc in each one), 18slst in the front loops at the front
until we reach the other side. Make 6sc in right part, inc to the last
stitch chain 2 and join both sides together.
Boots
After joining both sides, sew upper part of the shaft to the leg. Use
backloops of boot and the front loops on the leg (19th round).
Make shoe laces.

Do the same for the other shoe.

Body
Position the legs as explained (You can check if you like how it
looks or change its positions by increasing or reducing extra
stitches) join them with 3 chain. New round beginning should be
at the back side.

- Take black yarn and a bigger hook and make 78 surface slipstich
between rounds 27 and 28. Crochet loosely. Twist top part of hat with
your hand.
• Assemble head to the body.
• Blush the cheeks and make freckles.
