GRAMMAR BOOSTER
1. FUTURE: be going to.- We use “be going to”
 for actions that we intend to do in the future (future plans)
 for predictions based on evidence.

to be + going to + verb
Samples:
- I’m going to buy new cell phone next week. - It’s so cold! I think it is going to snow.
(Voy a comprar un teléfono Nuevo la próxima semana) (¡Qué frío hace! Creo que va a nevar)

NOTE:
reduction
going to gonna

 We use gonna instead of going to in informal contexts, especially in speaking and in song lyrics.
Sample:

- Someday I’m going to be a star. - Someday I’m gonna be a star.

2. FUTURE: will.- We use “will” to speak about


 for spontaneous decisions that we take at the moment of speaking.
 for promises
 for warnings and threats
 for predictions, usually with perhaps or with verbs: think, believe, hope, etc.

 We make questions by putting will in front of the subject.
