MATERIALS AND METHODS: The work was carried out in the department of endocrine and metabolic surgery of a tertiary care teaching hospital in southern India. Identification photography and documentation of the anatomical landmark in all the thyroidectomy procedures. Study Population: Patients coming to govt. Hospital with complaints of thyroid gland swelling and required thyroid gland repair from the surgical outpatient to department. Study design: Single center, Hospital based. BENEFITS: The thyroid is a vital endocrine gland,it plays a major role in chemical reactions many body in the body.t helps to regulate functions by constantly releasing a certain amount of thyroid hormones into the bloodstream.
