Step to configure Thunderbird mail-client in windows

Sign in to Gmail account and open the


account settings by clicking the setting

icon on the top right corner.

Click on the see all settings button.

Click on the Forwarding and POP/IMAP

Select the Enable IMAP option.


4. Scroll down and click on the save changes
button
Click on the nine dot from the top right
corner beside the settings icon.
Select the Account menu from there.

A new tab will open and click on the
search bar and type Less secure app access
and turn it on.

6. Download and Install Thunderbird email-client and open the Application.

7. Click on the Account Settings Button.

Click on the Account action button and

click on the Add mail account button

Fill-up name, email-id and password then

click on the configure manually button
a.In the Incoming server menu select
protocol IMAP, Host name
imap.gmail.com, port name 993,
connection security SSL/TLS,
Authentication method Normal
Password
10. b. In the outgoing server menu select
Host name smtp.gmail.com, port name
587, connection security STARTTLS,
Authentication method Normal
Password
c. Click on Test/Re-test button
d. Click on the Done button

11. Click on the finish button
