Manufacturing Standards
DC Output Rating
22. Maximum Power Output shall be 30kW Continuous without any derating up to herein
specified in this specification.
23. On a Single Gun Operation Maximum O/P per Each Gun shall be 15kW Continuous without
any derating up to herein specified in this specification.
24. DC Output Voltage shall be 40 - 100 VDC Continuous as per the BMS demand of Vehicle and
shall be relevance with Power demand curve.
25. DC Output Current Shall be Up to 200 A max per Gun on a single charging session and as per
the demand received from Vehicle end.
26. DC Power Class is 30kW – (15 kW (Max) Per Gun@ 48V/60V/72V) – 200 Amp and OEM
Serial Number to be engraved on Power Cabinet with Derating Values Specified.
27. Separate Earth Bus shall be provided for DC Output system and Sensitive Earth with
Dedicated Termination.
AC Input Rating
28. Nominal Voltage of EV Charger shall be 415VAC with Operating Range of Input shall be
+15% to -15% without any Charging Interruption.
29. Over Current, Short Circuit, Surge Protection, Over Temperature, Residual Current,
Emergency shutdown with alarm, Protection against electric shock
30. AC Input Connection shall be a 3 Phase with having Connection sequence of Rph, Yph, Bph,
N, PE
31. Earthing System of EV Charger shall be following Indian standard TN-S System and Internal
Earth shall be in accordance with IEC 60364-7-722.
32. Separate Earth Bus shall be Provided for AC Inputs and Un-sensitive PE earth.
33. AC side Power Rating of EV Charger Shall be around 30.6kVA, 380 VAC, 0.98PF, 42A but
shall not less than this on Maximum Output.
34. Necessary AC Contactor shall be provided in Input side with Digital under Voltage, Over
Voltage Protection Relay with Settable Range.
35. Contactor shall be wired through an Auxiliary Contact so it can disconnect the Input circuit
from Rectifier Input side in NO LOAD STATE.
36. Nominal Frequency shall be as per the Indian Grid Code with 50 HZ. Charger Frequency
shall not be in deviation of +/- 1% from Input frequency.
37. Termination for Input shall be Provided with relevant Aluminium/Copper Bus bar of
Necessary Current capacity to ease of Termination. Direct Termination on Switchgear
spreader is not acceptable. It shall have necessary space of 16XCable Diameter as per IS 1255
& IS 732.
38. Charger Efficiency shall be ≥ 94% Max. With considering all parameters of self-consumption
and Current Demand.
39. Charger Efficiency shall not be decreased by any mean rather than Derating or Hardware
failure.
40. Charger Self consumption shall not be increased greater than 30W at nominal Voltage of
system @ 415 V. Self-Consumption shall not be increased any time of EV charger being
operational and will be part of non-conformance of Purchase contract.
41. Charger Power Factor shall be >0.98 under loading conditions and it shall not consume
reactive energy in NO LOAD state.
42. Charger shall not produce < 5 % (THD) Total Harmonic Distortion values and as per values
of IEEE 519, Charger circuit shall be tested for harmonic analysis as per IEC 61000-4-7.
43. Charger Master Controller –CMS/CAN Board – PLC- HMI – Relay Board – Indication
circuit etc. shall be powered by a 1 Ph UPS to Power at least 90 Min Continuous in Power
outage condition.
44. Derating Shall not be observed until Ambient Temperature of reaches up to 50 °C and It shall
throw error on Cloud with High Temperature Alarm with Derating Value. Observed Derating
Shall be Purely Linear reference to Temperature values If Derating observed less than 50 °C
then it will be part of non-conformance of Purchase contract.
45. Derating of EV Connector and Rectifier Cabinet shall be a separate Machine Error and have
separate Error Alarm with Derating Value.
Protection & Safety
46. Necessary CBCT/ELR/EFR with Sensitivity of < 30 mA with adjustable range upto 5A shall
be provided as part of Protection circuit.
47. Necessary Overcurrent, Short-circuit, Earth fault and Leakage Protection shall be provided in
accordance with IS Code for Protection of LV Switchgear IS8623.
48. Short Circuit Current Rating of Charger Input Protection Shall not be less than 25kA.
49. It shall be in accordance with IEC 60909.
50. Form of Electrical Separation shall be Minimum 3B with relevant conductive parts shall be
covered by acrylic sheet.
51. Integrated Surge Protection Device Shall be Provided and terminated directly to the Earth bus
and it shall be as per specified in - IEC 61000-4-5
52. DC Side Over Current Protection shall be provided with relevant breaking capacity.
53. Every Equipment such as Rectifier, Control Boards, Relay Boards shall be Properly Grounded
with use of Screened earth Cable.
54. A Cutt-off or Disconnection shall be achieved if Temperature is detected up to 75 °C
55. EV Charger Shall be equipped with IEC 61643-11 3rd Category (III) to capture surge zone.
56. EV Charger Shall be equipped with minimum TFT LCD touch screen.
57. EV Charger shall be equipped with Emergency Push button (red mushroom push button)
58. EV Charger shall have Capabilities of RFID, mobile app, OTP, QR Code for User
Authentication
59. EV Charger Shall have Separate DC Meter for Each Gun with S Class Metering.
60. EV Charger Shall have AC Energy Meter which can transfer Grid Data of Voltage,
Current ,kW ,kWH ,kVA ,kVAH , Shall be displayed in HMI to monitor efficiency , No load
consumption and power regulations parameters. Make : SELEC , Model: EM4M Direct
current measurement up to 100A
61. EV Charger Shall have Indication LED for following stages separately.
o In Charging
o Charging Finish
o IDLE
o ERROR
62. EV Charger Shall have RFID Reader Board as per IEC 14443A/B
63. EV Charger Internet Access can be provided by Ethernet, 4G M2M Sim, WIFI & it shall have
auto switch capability to switch From GSM to ETHERNET and vice versa on Ethernet
failure.
64. EV Charger shall have supported with latest OCPP v1.6j (JSON) Protocol
65. EV Charger shall be configured with Latest firmware provided by OEM.
66. EV Charger shall have capabilities to show Latest Session Summary & history upto last 10
Charging sessions and to show VIN ID or MAC ID on a Display.
67. EV Charger can be configured to latest Firmware with OTA support.
