2 HYDRAULICS
2.1 SELECTIVE CONTROL VALVES -

SCV
The selective control valves provide a full range of
features to meet customers’ exact requirements. This
gives the flexibility to operate all hydraulic equipment
on the farm. The SCVs are located at the rear of the
tractor, at either side of the hitch valve.
All SCV’s feature a four position double or single
acting function in the cab. If a 4th SCV is specified,
the 3rd and 4th SCV will operate with a mechanically
operated multi-function lever.
Three different SCV versions are available: 101 series,
201 series or 301 series.
ISO couplers are mounted to each SCV.

201 Series
Features:
• A 4 position lever control that is detended as

Beyond the characteristics of the 201 series SCV, the

301 series SCV incorporates a temperature SCV End Covers
compensated adjustable flow restrictor which
continuously regulates the flow of oil between zero
and maximum in both directions regardless of oil Possible SCV End Covers - Left hand
temperature.
This will give day-long constant speed operation of
hydraulic motors and rams without the need for
adjustment.
Selectable detents allow the operator to choose the
same modes as the 201 series SCVs, and in addition a
hydraulic detent, where the SCV lever will remain
selected until a pre-set pressure is reached. It will then
’kickout’ of the detent to the neutral position
automatically.
This mode is particularly useful when repeat SCV
operations are performed, such as turning a plough or
drill marker cycling.

Power Beyond Plate Power Beyond Application Valve

Power beyond allows the use of the tractor pump to
power implements that have ICV (independent control
valves) or orbital motors.
For functions requiring additional hydraulic power, the
power beyond plate replaces the fourth SCV. Pressure
return and load sensing ports are provided for hook-up
of additional equipment, such as ICV, front loader etc.

3-Terminal Power Outlet Socket

Auxiliary power socket are installed in the rear right
section of the cab at the right hand console.
The 3-pin socket provides both 5 and 25 amp supplies
from the first two pins. The third pin is connected to

reversing.
Telescopic Rear View Mirrors
Telescopic mirrors offer manually adjustable
telescopic arms with manually adjustable mirrors. The
mirror mounts are offset on the stem to allow for
further adjustment and better head clearance when
entering the cab.
The passenger seat with suspension offers a high level

of ride comfort.

A mechanically operated multi-function lever may be

fitted to the front corner of the right hand console in
the cab to control up to 2 SCVs or ICV.
The lever is useful for one touch operations of either
1 or 2 SCV controlled implements, and of particular
interest where use is frequent, for example with front
hitch control.
The integrated design of the lever ensures that SCV
operations have a natural feel which soon become
second nature.
Please note that the multi-function lever cannot be
used for the control of the additional 3rd and 4th SCVs
and ICV at the same time.

5.5 BRAKES AND STEERING
Hydraulic trailer brake
The hydraulic trailer brake system gives a powerful,

safe braking function. The tractor brake-pedal operated
system gives a trailer braking function proportional to
the pressure applied to the pedal.
The field kits below permit the tractor to be retro-fitted
with an hydraulic trailer brake.

5.6 STORAGE Additional Storage Container - 45l

Tool Box
With a capacity of 45 l and a 45 kg maximum payload

this new sheet metal storage container offers additional
space, e.g. for rubber boots, oil cans, bulky tools,
grease guns etc.
Equipped with 2 handles at the side it can easily be
carried. With the help of the included quick lock pin
the container can be closed rapidly.
The fastening on the back allows a quick installation to
all existing front weights: base weights, front weights
and the 900 kg pick up weight.
An external detachable and lockable tool box with

convenient carrying handle is located in front of the
cab.
It has the capacity to hold tools and a selection of
linkage balls, hitch pins and linchpins for implement
attachment.

John Deere Pick-up Hitch

The John Deere Pick-up Hitch provides one-man
hitching with excellent visibility.
The hitch can be hydraulically adjusted in length and
height for coupling trailers or trailed implements, even
under difficult working conditions like uneven ground,
very low placed trailers, etc.
Two different coupling devices are available:
• hook type is in base
• drawbar can be ordered optional
Either of the two items can be stored in a frame
mounted universal holder.

5.8 VANDALISM PROTECTION KITS Security door lock kit

Locking the cab with an individual key, different from
the standard ignition key, is helpful for many different
applications of the tractor. John Deere therefore offers
the Security door lock field installation kit. It features
an individual key system that prevents misuse of the
standard ignition key. This field kit provides individual
security by individual keys for all equipment kept
inside the cab.
