Introduction:

Significant aspects of my personality and professional ability were revealed by the Tri metrix

Assessment. According to my DISC assessment, I have a low dominance (16) score that

reflects my collaborative nature, a high influence (79) score that reflects my outgoing and

gregarious personality, and a strong presence (70) score that reflects my calm and patient

demeanour. Furthermore, my preference for accuracy and rule adherence is highlighted by

my Compliance score of 58. These qualities will play a major role in how my human

resources career develops.

The assessment also revealed my strongest suit: teamwork, planning and organising, people

advocacy, interpersonal skills, and ongoing learning. These skills are essential to my

professional path and are in line with my career goals. My two main motivators—intellectual

curiosity and selflessness—highlight my dedication to lifelong learning and community

service, two qualities that are crucial in the HR industry.

I have used these insights to create a comprehensive five-year career development plan that

will help me reach my goal of working as a director of human resources in British Columbia.

To make sure I obtain the required training, credentials, and experience, this plan specifies

precise steps, deadlines, and completion dates. It also points out possible obstacles and

suggests ways to get beyond them.

Action Steps
1.Finish the MBA programme between April 2024 and March 2026.

It is essential to finish the University Canada West MBA programme because it offers the

advanced knowledge and abilities needed for HR positions at a higher level. My leadership

skills, strategic thinking, and general human resources knowledge will all be strengthened by

this programme, providing a strong basis for future professional growth.

2. Achieve the September 2024 Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP)

certification.

To prove my proficiency in HR concepts and procedures, I must obtain the CHRP

certification. I will be eligible for entry-level HR positions with this certification, which is

recognised in Canada, provided I fulfil the standards and prerequisites set by the industry for

initial career advancement.

3. Obtain CHRL Certification and Gain Progressive HR Experience (January 2026 -

July 2027)

To advance to supervisory and managerial roles, one must obtain relevant HR experience

while pursuing the Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) certification. By taking this

step, I will be able to demonstrate my HR leadership skills and gain real-world experience,

which will qualify me for more senior roles like HR Manager and Senior HR Manager.

Possible Obstacles
 Workplace and Cultural Adjustment: It may be difficult for me to get used to a new

work culture and environment in Canada, which could affect my performance and

integration at first.

 Certification Difficulties: It can take a lot of time and money to prepare for and pass

the necessary certifications (CHRP, CHRL).

 Competition in the Job Market: Finding a suitable entry-level position in Canada's

competitive HR field may require patience and perseverance.

 Limitations of Networking: It can be challenging to establish a professional network

in a foreign nation, which could limit my chances of receiving career advancement

and mentoring.
 Problems with Work Permits and Visas: Potential hold-ups or difficulties in

securing or extending work permits and visas could impede my professional

advancement.

 juggling Work and School: It can be difficult to balance the demands of a full-time

job, my MBA programme, and getting ready for certifications.

 Economic Fluctuations: The hiring patterns and availability of HR positions may be

affected by downturns in the economy or shifts in the labour market.

 Financial Restrictions: If I have trouble finding part-time employment or

scholarships, the cost of education, certifications, and living expenses in Canada may

be too much for me to afford.
