Editorial design's fields include:
• Book and magazine design Include cover design,
layout, fonts and images to create a finished product and
attract readers.
• Website layout design: Website design includes
designing the layout and images to create the best
website for users.
• Graphic Design: Including the design of logos, banners,
advertisements, signs, posters, and other graphic
products.
Editorial design is the process of creating print or online
publications with the aim of making it easy for readers to
access , understand , and have a good reading

HISTORY
The industry of editorial design began to develop in the 15th century, when European printers company began to use graphic
techniques to create more beautiful and attractive prints.
During the 1800s, printing became more common and newspapers, magazines, books, and other materials were produced in
bigger numbers.
During the 1920s and 1930s, new design styles began to emerge, including Bauhaus, Art Deco, and Modernism. Designers such as
Jan Tschichold and Herbert Bayer have introduced new design principles and used graphic methods to create beautiful and
professional printed products.
During the 1960s and 1970s, the use of computers for design began to become more common.
New technologies such as desktop. publishing have enabled designers and publishers to create print products more quickly and
efficiently.
During the 1990s and 2000s, digital graphic design had developed. Software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign have
enabled designers to create mare professional and diverse graphic products than ever before. Today, the editorial design
industry continues to evolve and advance with the advent of new technologies such as dynamic graphic design, web design, and
multimedia design.
