SALE OF BOARDED STORES BY PUBLIC AUCTION

1. The State Department for Water and Sanitation hereby invites interested bidders for the sale of unserviceable, obsolescent, obsolete or surplus stores by public auction on
“as -is- where- is” basis.

2. The Public Auction will take place on Wednesday 12th June 2024 at 10.00 am at the Chief Mechanical & Transport Division Offices on Machakos Road Nairobi , in
conjunction with the appointed registered auctioneer M/s. Petfriend Auctioneers of P. O. Box 784-00902 Kikuyu.

Conditions of sale
1. All bidders participating in the Public Auction shall be required to produce evidence of having paid the required deposit in order to be given auction bidding numbers
from the Appointed Auctioneer (Ms. Petfriend Auctioneer Mobile Numbers: 0725 591 984/0722 639119)

2. The time required for all potential bidders to access and view the motor vehicles at Moi Airbase Eastleigh Water Stores – Juja Road Nairobi shall be done upon
registration on or before 10th June 2024 and viewing date shall be done only once 10th June 2024 at 11.00 am.

3. Interested bidders are required to pay a refundable deposit of Kshs. 100,000(One Hundred Thousand Shillings) to obtain a bidding number .

NB: NO BIDDING WHATSOEVER WITHOUT BIDDING NUMBER

4. The deposit will be treated as part payment for the successful bidders.

5. The vehicles are sold on “as is where is basis” and are subjected to Reserve Price.

6. The successful bidder must pay a deposit of 25% of the purchase price by the fall of the hammer to the cash office -State Department for Water and Sanitation Ngong
Road Nairobi and obtain an official receipt.

7. The successful bidder in the public auction shall be given a period of at least Fourteen(14) Days from the date of the public auction to pay for the items , take
possession and remove them from the procuring entity’s premises.(REF :REGULATION 192(1) OF PPADR 2020)

8. Where the successful bidder fails to meet the requirements in paragraph (7),the bidder shall forfeit the bid deposit and the items may be offered to the second
highest bidder. (REF :REGULATION 192 (2) OF PPADR 2020)

9. Item nos. 031,032,033 and 078 have been RESERVED for Youth , Women and Persons Living with Disability.

10. The successful bidder shall pay all costs, applicable duties and taxes assorted with transfer of the purchased motor vehicle.

11. The unsuccessful bidders will be refunded bid deposits on presentation of the original receipt within a reasonable time after the auction.

12. The State Department for Water and Sanitation Reserves the Right to Accept or Reject and Annul the Process at any time Prior, without there by Incurring any
Liability to Bidders. In Case of Annulment, all bidders submitted and specifically, Deposit, shall be Promptly Returned to the Bidders.

13. The State Department for Water and Sanitation and the Appointed Auctioneer (Ms. Petfriend Auctioneer Mobile Numbers: 0725 591 984/0722 639119 reserve the right
to reject all bids below the Reserve Prices.
