SUBJECT: RESPECT FOR UNIVERSITY SECURITY MEASURES.

It has been observed that some students, staff and visitors to the University are reluctant to
comply with the security measures at the gate (stop and search) undertaken by the security outfit
during searches at the entrance.

In view of the above subject, I am directed to remind all students, staff and the general public to
comply with the security measures put in place by the University. Persons and vehicles are to
patiently cooperate with the security team at the gate while they carry out their lawful
questioning, stop and search.

Security personnel in turn must demonstrate high level of decorum, professionalism and respect
for hierarchy in the exercise of their functions.

The University expects mutual cooperation for the benefit and protection of lives and property.

Please, endeavor to adhere to the security measures by the University.
