Let's learn about gorillas and efforts

to conserve their species.

01. Population
Studies over the past two decades
have shown a significant drop in
the population of Gorillas. What's
even more shocking was that only
100,000 gorillas were accounted
for in 1980!

02. Habitat
These fascinating creatures are
often found hanging about in the
Cameroon and Cango Basin as
well as other Central-African
equatorial territories.

03. Characteristics
Here’s some Fun Facts!
Gorillas share 99% of our DNA! Isn’t that
a-w-s-o-m-e? They can live for up to 60
years and are more than able to
communicate with the understanding of an
actual 6-year-old. Sounds a lot like your
younger sibling right? Whats more is that
these awsome animals can and have
learned sign language and have an
an IQ of 80. Sounding even more
like your sibling, am I right?
Gorrillas are much like humans.

04.Threats
Sadly, gorillas are under attack. Hunters
and poachers will do anything to get their
hands on a dead male silverback gorilla...
and all for a measly $35! Becuase their
parents are dying out, baby gorilla orphans
have to accept their fate of a shortened life
- they simply cannot survive alone! It’s
been suggested that from 5-10 years from
now gorillas could become extinct because RUDE
of the damage to their homes and the
slaughtering of their species in the name of
affordable Bush meat. (this is your sign
from the heavens to become a Vegetarian)
Mining in their homes for coltan, which is
used in many of your devices and military
aircraft has already made some species go
extinct,

05. Aims
What's the plan? you might be
asking. Well, eco guards are to
be appointed, and vehicles and
communication devices to
watch after the gorillas will be
supplied to ensure to the safety
of our friends. Locals must be
taught the importance of apes
for eco-tourism and not for
their stews.

Legal rights are to be put in place for

our monkey and ape friends for
freedom to live in liberty and
freedom fro harmful experiments
and torture. After all, they are similar
to us!
