EXAMPLE 1 Find the measure of each interior angle in the inscribed quadrilateral ABCD.
Find the value of x.
m∠A + m∠C = 180° (6x - 8)°
B
(6x − 8)° + ( 8x − 22)° = 180° A
14x − 30 = 180 C
(8x - 22)°
14x = 210
D
x = 15 (6x + 5)°
Substitute the value of x into the expression for each angle measure.
m∠A = ( 6(15) − 8)° = ( 90 − 8)° = 82°
m∠C = ( 8(15) − 22)° = ( 120 − 22)° = 98°
m∠D = ( 6(15) + 5)° = ( 90 + 5)° = 95°
Find the fourth angle measure by subtracting the sum of the other three angles
from the number of degrees found inside a quadrilateral.
m∠B = ( 360 − ( 82 + 98 + 95)) = 85°

10. Steven is making a design using regular polygons inscribed in circles. He wants
to know the measures of the smallest arcs on each circle. What is the measure of
each arc when he inscribes regular polygons with 8, 9, 10, 12, and n sides in
separate circles?
11. Rhombus ABCD is inscribed in a circle. How else can ABCD be classified as a
polygon? Explain.
