professors and recorded the number of days before the final exam that each submitted his or

(a) Compute the mean, median, and mode.
(b) Briefly describe what each statistic tells you.
(c) Compute the 10% trimmed mean and compare it with the actual mean.
(d) Calculate 5% trimmed mean and compare it with the result in part c.
4. The midterm test for a statistics course has a time limit of 1 hour. However, like most statistics
exams this one was quite easy. To assess how easy, the professor recorded the amount of time
taken by a sample of nine students to hand in their test papers. The times (rounded to the
