November, 2023. As per the protocol, both AMD
and GSI can share the geospatial data for mutual
benefit and avoid duplication of efforts by the above
mentioned national agencies, primarily engaged in
mineral exploration activity in the country.

A series of initiatives were carried out under the “Swachhta Abhiyan” at AMD
in 2023 to promote cleanliness and hygiene. All officers and employees of AMD
collectively took the cleanliness pledge. The activities included:

14 राष्ट्रीय विज्ञान दिवस NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY

National Science Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and a focus on the theme
“Global Science for Global Well-being” on 28th February at AMD Headquarters,
as well as at its Regional Centres, Sectional Offices, and various field camps. The
occasion marked the tribute to the eminent physicist Sir C.V. Raman. The highlight
of the celebration at Headquarters, Hyderabad was a captivating popular science
lecture on “Scientific Temper” delivered by Padma Shri Dr. M.Y.S. Prasad, a
renowned figure in the field of Science and Technology and former Director of Satish Dhawan Space Centre Sriharikota
Range (SDSC-SHAR). Dr. T.S. Sunil Kumar, Additional Director (R&D) at AMD, extended a warm welcome to the Chief
Guest and students, highlighting the pivotal role of science in the development of nations and emphasizing the crucial
role of nuclear energy in India’s transition towards clean energy and its impact on the global landscape. Adding to the
vibrancy of the event informative orientation visits were organized for the visiting students and faculties at various offices
of AMD to explore AMD Laboratories and Museum, providing them with a firsthand experience of the cutting-edge
research and technology being pursued at AMD.

A Colloquium Meeting focussing on the Progress in Exploration and Milling of Uranium and the Outlook on Rare Earths
was convened by the Mineral Processing Division of the Materials Group, BARC on June 26, 2023, at AMD Headquarters,
Hyderabad. The esteemed guests of honour for the event included Dr. C.K. Asnani, CMD, UCIL, Shri D. Singh, CMD, IREL,
Shri K.T. Shinoy, Director, Chemical Engineering Group, BARC and Dr. Raghvendra Tewari, Associate Director, Materials
Group, BARC. The gathering provided a platform for insightful discussions and exchanges on advancements in mineral
processing and the future prospects in the exploration and milling of uranium and rare earth elements.

16 अग्नि सरु क्षा पर सेमिनार Seminar on Fire Safety
Several seminars focusing on “Safety at Work Places” were conducted at various Regional and sectional offices of AMD. A
large number of officers, technicians and work assistants participated in these informative sessions across different Regions
of AMD.
At AMD Headquarters, Hyderabad a seminar cum workshop specifically addressing fire safety took place on 12.07.2023.
The highlight of the event was a comprehensive talk delivered by Shri S.K. Sharma, Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Fire Services,
NFC, Hyderabad. His presentation of ‘Combustion and Extinction’ accompanied by practical hands-on training aimed at
equipping attendees with the necessary skills to effectively handle fire-related emergencies in the workplace.

National Technology Day 2023, Pragati


Maidan, New Delhi marked a significant occasion
where India’s technological achievements were
recognized and celebrated. The event was
graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Prime
Minister Shri Narendra Modi and other key
government officials. AMD’s participation in this
event provided an opportunity to showcase its
technological expertise, research initiatives, and
contributions to the country’s scientific and technological landscape.
Asian and Oceanic Congress on Radiation Protection (AOCRP-6) organized
by the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) in Mumbai was a significant
international gathering focussed on radiation protection. With 1500 attendees from
various countries, the congress featured engaging interactive sessions, technical
presentations, and discussions on the latest advancements in radiation protection.
One of the highlights of the event was the screening of an informative film produced by the Atomic Minerals Directorate for
Exploration and Research (AMD), shedding light on the activities of the Directorate.
Bharat Pride Expo-2023 held at Anurag University, Ghatkesar, Hyderabad,
showcased India’s technological prowess and innovation across various sectors.
The expo provided a platform for industry experts, researchers, and innovators
to exhibit their cutting-edge technologies and products. AMD participated
in this event to showcase its contributions to the field of atomic minerals
exploration and research, highlighting its role in supporting India’s energy security and technological advancement.

108th Indian Science Congress held at R.T.M. Nagpur University is a prestigious annual event
that brings together scientists, researchers, academicians, and policymakers to discuss scientific
advancements and promote collaboration. AMD’s recognition as the “Most Informative Pavilion”
highlights its efforts to educate the public about nuclear energy and radiation technology. The lecture
on “Myths and Realities of Radiation” delivered by AMD at the Science Expo further demonstrates
the Department’s commitment to dispelling misconceptions and promoting accurate information about radiation and its
applications.
World Earth Day Exhibition in Shillong organized by the Directorate of Mineral
Resources (DVR) and the Government of Meghalaya, aimed to raise awareness
about environmental conservation and sustainable development. AMD’s
participation focussed on highlighting the role of atomic minerals exploration
in promoting sustainable practices and resource management. By showcasing
its activities at such events, AMD reinforced its commitment to environmental
stewardship and responsible utilization of natural resources in line with global sustainability goals.
By actively participating in diverse events across Regions and engaging with various stakeholders, AMD demonstrated its commitment
to promoting scientific knowledge, technological advancements and responsible use of nuclear energy for societal progress.

19 सतर्कता जागरूकता सप्ताह VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK

All employees at AMD Headquarters, Regional Centers and Sectional Offices actively
participated in different events organized during the Vigilance Awareness Week (30th October
to 5th November, 2023) which centered on the theme “Say no to corruption, commit to
the nation”. On this occation, the Integrity Pledge was taken by all AMD employees at their
respective workplace. Throughout the week, slogans and banners echoing the theme adorned
the AMD premises in form of various competitions including poster making and elocution
held at Headquarters, Regional Centers and
Sectional Offices.

पखनि ने वर्ष 2023 के दौरान राजभाषा कार्यान्वयन के क्षेत्र में कई उपलब्धियां प्राप्त की उन में प्रमुख है,
वै ज्ञानिक संगोष्ठी :
1. परमाणु खनिज अन्वेषण एवं अनुसंधान निदेशालय, दक्षिण मध्यवर्ती क्षेत्र, हैदराबाद द्वारा 20 जनवरी, 2023 को
“कडप्पा व समकालीन द्रोणियों में खनिजीकरण तथा खनिज अन्वेषण में बहुमुखी आयाम एवं चुनौतियाँ”
विषय पर एक दिवसीय वैज्ञानिक संगोष्ठी का सफल आयोजन किया गया ।
2. परमाणु खनिज अन्वेषण एवं अनुसंधान निदेशालय,पुलिन बालू एवं अपतटीय अन्वेषण वर्ग, तिरुवनंतपुरम द्वारा
24 मार्च, 2023 को “भारत में परमाणु खनिजों की आत्मनिर्भरता और भविष्य की चुनौतियाँ” विषय पर एक
दिवसीय वैज्ञानिक संगोष्ठी का सफल आयोजन किया गया ।
3. परमाणु खनिज अन्वेषण एवं अनुसंधान निदेशालय (प.ख.नि.) उत्तरी क्षेत्र, नई दिल्ली में 15 सितम्बर, 2023 को
“उत्तरी क्षेत्र की भूगर्भीय संरचनाओं के परिप्रेक्ष्य में परमाणु खनिज संसाधन: संभावनाएं एवं अभिकल्पनाएं”
विषय पर एक दिवसीय हिंदी वैज्ञानिक संगोष्ठी का आयोजन किया गया I वैज्ञानिक संगोष्ठी में प्रस्तुत शोध पत्रों को
संकलित कर स्मारिका अंक-3 के रूप में संयुक्तांक प्रकाशित किया गया है I
4. दक्षिण मध्यवर्ती क्षेत्र, हैदराबाद द्वारा 20 जनवरी, 2023 को एवं पुलिन बालू एवं अपतटीय अन्वेषण वर्ग,
तिरुवनंतपुरम द्वारा 24 मार्च, 2023 को आयोजित हिंदी वैज्ञानिक संगोष्ठी में प्रस्तुत शोध पत्रों की स्मारिका अंक-
3 के संयुक्तांक का विमोचन हिंदी पखवाड़ा-2023 के समापन एवं पुरस्कार वितरण समारोह के दौरान निदेशक
महोदय के करकमलों से किया गया ।

प्रमुख गतिविधियाँ मुख्यालय, है दराबाद:


पखनि मखु ्यालय, हैदराबाद में राजभाषा कार्या न्वयन के क्षेत्र में राजभाषा कार्या न्वयन समिति और हिंदी अनभु ाग द्वारा सतत
प्रयास जारी है ताकि दिन प्रतिदिन कार्या लयी कार्य में कार्या न्वयन सचु ारू रूप से आगे बढ़े। इस दिशा में, इस वर्ष आयोजित
हिंदी कार्य शालाओं में 56 अधिकारियों एवं 90 कर्मचारियों को प्रशिक्षित किया गया । हिंदी शब्द संसाधन प्रशिक्षण में 50
कर्मचारियों को प्रशिक्षित किया गया ।
वर्ष 2022-23 के लिए नराभाकास-4 ‘राजभाषा शील्ड’:
दिनांक 21.06.2023 को पखनि, बेगमपेट, हैदराबाद कार्या लय में नगर राजभाषा कार्या न्वयन समिति हैदराबाद-4 की हिंदी
निबंध प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया एवं पखनि को राजभाषा शील्ड से सम्मानित किया गया। समिति ने इस उपलब्धि
पर मखु ्यालय में कार्य रत सभी अधिकारी एवं कर्मचारियों को हार्दिक बधाई एवं शभु कामनाएं दीं ।

विश्व हिंदी दिवस समारोह:


परमाणु खनिज अन्वेषण एवं अनस ु धं ान निदेशालय, हैदराबाद में प्रति वर्ष तरह 10 जनवरी 2023
को विश्व हिंदी दिवस समारोह का आयोजन किया गया । विश्व हिंदी दिवस समारोह के मखु ्य अतिथि
प्रो. आर.एस. सर्राजू, प्रो. कुलपति, हैदराबाद विश्वविद्यालय, हैदराबाद, निदेशक, पखनि.श्री भा.
सरवणन, डॉ. कल्याण चक्रबर्ती, अपर निदेशक-(प्रचा-1), द्वारा विधिवत् रूप से दीप प्रज्वलित
कर विश्व हिंदी दिवस समारोह का उद्घाटन किया गया ।
मखु ्य अतिथि प्रो. आर.एस. सर्रा जू ने अपने रोचक व ज्ञानवर्धक व्याख्यान में हिंदी के क्रमिक विकास व अन्य भारतीय
भाषाओं के संदर्भ में अपने विचार प्रकट किए जिसकी सभी ने सराहना की । अंत में श्री भा. सरवणन ने अतिथिवक्ता प्रो.
आर.एस. सर्रा जू को शाल एवं स्तमृ ि चिह्न प्रदानकर सम्मानित किया ।

हिंदी पखवाड़ा – 2023:


सितंबर माह 2023 के दौरान हिंदी पखवाड़ा समारोह का आयोजन किया गया । हिंदी
पखवाड़ा समारोह के दौरान 13 प्रतियोगिताओं का सफल आयोजन किया गया । जिसमें
कुल 265 प्रतिभागियों ने भाग लिया ।

दिनांक 29.09.2023 को हिंदी पखवाड़ा-2023 के समापन समारोह का आयोजन किया


गया, इस कार्यक्रम के मखु ्य अतिथि के रूप में श्री अनरु ाग कुमार, अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध
निदेशक, ई सी आई एल, हैदराबाद को आमंत्रित किया गया
था । इस अवसर पर मखु ्य अतिथि व निदेशक महोदय के कर
कमलों से हिंदी प्रतियोगिताओं के विजेताओं को परु स्कार
वितरित किये गये और परमाणु खनिज स्मारिका के तृतीय अंक
का लोकार्पण किया गया ।

उक्त समारोह में श्वेत पटल लेखन प्रतियोगिता के तहत उत्तम प्रस्तुति के लिए तकनीकी वर्ग में ए एम डी सी को प्रथम परु स्कार,
एक्स आर एफ प्रयोगशाला को द्वितीय परु स्कार, आर एम आर ई को तृतीय परु स्कार एवं अपर निदेशक (अनु व विकास) को विशेष
परु स्कार से सम्मानित किया गया । गैर तकनीकी वर्ग में वेतन एवं लेखा अधिकारी के कार्या लय को प्रथम परु स्कार एवं प्रशासनिक
अधिकारी कार्या लय को द्वितीय परु स्कार से सम्मानित किया गया ।

पखनि के क्षेत्रीय कार्यालयों में आयोजित हिंदी कार्यक्रम:

उत्तरी क्षेत्र, नई दिल्ली


उत्तरी क्षेत्र के मखु ्यालय में 14 सितम्बर से 29 सितम्बर, 2023 तक हिंदी पखवाड़ा आयोजित
किया गया जिसका शभु ारम्भ 14 सितम्बर, 2023 को
किया गया । इस अवसर पर मखु ्य अतिथि के रूप में
डॉ.पूरन चन्दब टंडन उपस्थित थे। हिंदी पखवाड़े के
दौरान 13 हिंदी प्रतियोगिताएं आयोजित की गई एवं सभी
विजयी प्रतिभागियों को परु स्कृत किया गया । प्रथम हिंदी
कार्य शाला कैं प बीजपरु में द्वितीय टिब्ब बसई एवं घाटी
गांव एवं तृतीय कैं प हमीरपरु में आयोजित की गयी ।
दक्षिणी क्षेत्र, बेंगलूरु
28 जून 2023 को पखनि कैं प, मर्लागल्ला प्रॉस्पेक्ट में एक दिवसीय “हिंदी कार्यशाला” का
आयोजन किया गया । श्री सिबि के . वर्गीस, उप-क्षेत्रीय निदेशक, श्री डी. विद्यासागर, प्रभारी, श्री
आर. राजेंद्रन, प्रभारी एवं श्री सी. के . विनोद कुमार, स.का.अ. ने हिंदी भाषा के आधिकारिक
उपयोग पर कर्मचारियों को प्रशिक्षण दिया । मर्लागल्ला के सभी अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों ने
कार्य शाला में भाग लिया ।
नराकास (का-2) का आयोजन: नगर राजभाषा कार्या न्वयन समिति (का-2) की बैठक परमाणु
खनिज अन्वेषण एवं अनस ु न्धान निदेशालय, दक्षिणी क्षेत्र, बेंगलूरु में दिनांक 04.08.2023 को संपन्न हुई । इस बैठक में कें द्र
सरकार के अधीनस्थ कार्य रत 33 कार्या लयों से 102 अधिकारियों नें भाग लिया । बैठक की अध्यक्षता श्री एस. राजेन्द्र कुमार,
पोस्टमास्टर जनरल, कर्नाटक सर्कि ल एवं अध्यक्ष, नराकास
(का-2) द्वारा की गयी । नराकास (का-2) की पखनि, द. क्षे. में
प्रथम बार आयोजित हुई बैठक सचु ारू रूप से संपन्न हुई तथा
इसके सनिय ु ोजित आयोजन को समिति के गणमान्य सदस्यों
द्वारा सराहा भी गया ।

राजभाषा शील्ड: वर्ष 2022-2023, वर्ग 51 से अधिक कर्मचारी श्रेणी में प.ख.नि. द.
क्षे. को, राजभाषा शील्ड तृतीय परु स्कार प्राप्त हुआ । इसे दिनांक 10.03.2023 को
आयोजित न.रा.का. समिति (कार्या लय -2) बैठक में क्षेत्रीय निदेशक, पखनि (द.क्षे.)
बेंगलरूु द्वारा प्राप्त किया गया ।
हिंदी पखवाड़ा-2023: पखनि, दक्षिणी क्षेत्र बेंगलूरु में दिनांक 14.09.2023 से
27.09.2023 तक हिंदी पखवाड़ा का आयोजन किया गया । इसके अंतर्गत उद्घाटन एवं समापन समारोह के अतिरिक्त
विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताएं सम्पन्न हुई ं । समापन कार्य क्रम में श्री विपिन चन्द्र नेगी, अधीक्षक परु ातत्त्व विभाग, बेंगलूरु सर्कि ल
मखु ्य अतिथि रहे । पखनि, दक्षिणी क्षेत्र की सभी फील्ड इकाइयों में हिंदी पखवाड़ा-2023 का आयोजन किया गया । हिंदी
दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में दिनांक 14/09/2023 को पखनि, द.क्षे. के शिविर रायचोटी, लेक्किरेड्डीपल्ली प्रास्पेक्ट द्वारा “हिंदी
कार्यशाला” का आयोजन एवं “हिंदी दिवस समारोह” मनाया गया । हिंदी कार्य शाला के अवसर पर मखु ्य अतिथि के रूप में
श्री अस्मत भाषा, प्रधान अध्यापक, लेक्किरेड्डीपल्ली विद्यालय को आमंत्रित किया गया । मखु ्य अतिथि ने आयोजित हिंदी
कार्य शाला में “दैनिक कार्यालयीन कामकाज के लिए आवश्यक हिंदी व्याकरण” विषय पर एक व्याख्यान देते हुए हिंदी के
गौरवशाली इतिहास और उनसे जड़ु े लेखक गणों के योगदान को भी बड़ी बखूबी से प्रतिभागियों को बताया ।

पश्चिमी क्त्रषे , जयपरु के मखु ्यालय में 14 सितंबर से 29 सितंबर 2023 तक हिंदी पखवाड़ा समारोह का सफल आयोजन किया गया
जिसमें अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों के लिए 11 हिंदी प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन किया गया। इसी प्रकार कैं प-खण्डेला में दिनांक
18.09.2023 से 27.09.2023 तक, कैं प-सिवाना, बाड़मेर में 18 से 25 सितंबर 2023 तथा कैं प-राजगढ़, अलवर में दिनांक
27.09.2023 को हिंदी दिवस समारोह का आयोजन किया गया । दिनांक 17.03.2023 को हिंदी में लोकप्रिय विषय पर व्याख्यान
प्रस्तुत करने हेतु जयपरु स्थित नेत्र चिकित्सालय सेंटर फोर साइट के डॉ.ऐश्वर्या छाबड़ा को वक्ता के रूप में आमंत्रित किया गया ।
कार्या लय को वर्ष 2022-23 के लिये हिंदी में सर्वश्रेष्ठ कार्य करने के लिये नराकास के प्रथम परु स्कार से सम्मानित किया गया ।

पर एक दिवसीय वैज्ञानिक संगोष्ठी का आयोजन किया गया । वैज्ञानिक संगोष्ठी में कुल 21 शोध
पत्र सारांश प्रस्तुत किए गए I दक्षिण मध्यवर्ती क्षेत्र, चर्लापल्ली में दिनांक 18.09.2022 से 03.10.2023 तक हिंदी पखवाड़ा-

The celebration of International Women’s Day 2023 at AMD was a momentous occasion marked by appreciation,
empowerment and recognition of women’s contributions. The theme for the day, “DigitALL: Innovation and technology
for gender equality” resonated throughout the events organized across all Regions and Sectional Offices. Inspirational talks,
discussions and workshops were held to highlight the achievements of women in diverse fields and to address pertinent
issues related to gender equality
and women’s rights. Employees
participated in various activities
that emphasized the importance of
inclusion, diversity and creating a
supportive environment for women
to thrive professionally and personally. It was a day filled with
reflection, solidarity and renewed commitment to fostering a
more equitable and inclusive workplace culture at AMD.

The 9th International Yoga Day was joyously celebrated on 21.06.2023 with the theme “Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” or
“One Earth – One Family – One Future”. This global event aimed to raise awareness about the myriad benefits of practicing yoga.
As eloquently expressed by the renowned yoga practitioner, the late B.K.S. Iyengar, “Yoga cultivates the ways of maintaining a
balanced attitude in day-to-day life and endows skill in the performance of one’s actions.” Officers and staff enthusiastically
participated in the event held across all the Regional Centers, Sectional Offices and field camps of AMD fostering a harmonious
and health-conscious community.
