MANAGED CORPORATE & FOUNDATION PARTNERSHIPS

Some companies and foundations are managed by members of the Office of Corporate & Foundation
Relations (CFR) for various reasons, which include but are not limited to:
• The company/foundation may have specific requirements for engaging with our university.
• Members of the CFR team and/or university leadership may have an existing relationship with the
funder, there may be an existing strategy in alignment with university priorities, and/or there may be
a current application already under consideration.
• The funder may have a limited submission policy, meaning the institution can only submit one
single application; this requires internal coordination to select the most strategically aligns
concept for submission.

All faculty and staff are required to contact and obtain approval from CFR (CFR@niu.edu) before making
contact with the corporations and foundations listed below to ensure we represent NIU cohesively and
submit compelling funding proposals.
