Merit Creation and Minimum Qualifying Criteria for Full-time Diploma, Lateral Entry to
Full-time Diploma, Advanced Diploma in Advanced Mechatronics (ADAM) and UG Program
(B.A. Digital Media and Design)
1. The eligible candidate shall appear for the Entrance Test conducted by DSEU. The
University will offer admissions through the merit list created on the basis of marks obtained
by the candidate in the Common Entrance Test/ Common Aptitude Test as stated below.
2. The Entrance Test will be conducted in ONLINE AI Proctored mode, which the candidate
can attempt from their home or any convenient location but they will be required to have
stable internet access so that he/she can attempt the exam in an uninterrupted manner. The
Entrance Exam will be conducted ONLY ONCE as announced on the www.dseu.ac.in and
DSEU admissions portal.
3. Sections A and B are mandatory for all candidates in all Entrance tests as given below.
4. For the candidates seeking admission in the Engineering programs, the Merit list shall be
created on the basis of marks obtained in sections A, B and C only. (Section C for
Engineering)
5. For the candidates seeking admission in the Pharmacy program, the Merit list shall be
created on the basis of marks obtained in sections A, B and D only. (Section D for
Pharmacy)
6. For the candidates seeking admission in the Cosmetology & Health program, the Merit list
shall be created on the basis of marks obtained in sections A, B and E only. (Section E for
Cosmetology & Health)
7. Aggregate cut-offs for CET (Engineering Diploma, Pharmacy and Cosmetology & Health)
● 30% (General category candidate)
● 25% (Women/OBC/EWS category candidate)
● 20% (SC/ST category candidate)
Note:
- It is mandatory to qualify the respective sections of CET as stated in point 4, 5 and 6.
Cut-off criteria for each section is given in point 7.
8. Candidates seeking to appear for CET in multiple streams (Eg. Engineering, Pharmacy, and
Cosmetology & Health, or all of the above categories), will be required to appear for all the
respective sections of the Common Entrance Test / Creative Aptitude Test/ ADAM Entrance
Test/ Lateral Entry Entrance Test and their merit will be created separately for each category.
9. Candidates securing less than 1/3rd marks marks in even one of the qualifying sections
shall not be considered eligible for further processes of Merit and Counselling.
Note:
- All questions contain equal marks.
- There is NO negative marking.
11. Cut-offs for all the aforementioned Entrance Tests are as follows:
Stage II- Skill test, ((For Creative Aptittude Tests only)- Offline in DSEU campus
● 30% (General Category candidate)
● 25% (Girls/ OBC/ EWS category candidate)
● 20% (SC/ST category candidate)
Note:
- Merely appearing in Entrance test does not guarantee admission. Fullfilment of
Minimum Eligibility Criteria as give in Information Bulletin is a mandatory
requirement and if a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility, despite giving the
CET, they will not be considered for further processes of Merit and Counseling.

- Only sheets will be provided by DSEU
