the following sets and illustrate them in a Venn-diagram.

Solution: Here,
U = {0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9}, A = {1, 2, 3, 5, 7}, B = {2, 4, 5, 6}
a. A = U – A = {0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9} – {1, 2, 3, 5, 7} = {0, 4, 6, 8, 9}
It is illustrated in a Venn-diagram as

b. AB = {1, 2, 3, 5, 7}  {2, 4, 5, 6}
 AB = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7}
Now,
(AB) = U - (AB)
= {0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9} – {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7}
= {0, 8, 9}
