Maria José: History of Switzerland
Over the centuries, Switzerland
became a network of diverse alliances
between cities and rural communities
in the current federal state made up of
26 cantons.
Its historical evolution has many
parallels with other Western European
nations, although it was able to
preserve its independence and
maintain some particularities.
Its historical evolution also presents
many common features with that of
neighboring countries.
Formerly, the territory of today's
Switzerland was part of the Roman

Andreina: It is a sovereign country in

South America that comprises the
eastern half of the continent and some
groups of small islands in the Atlantic
Ocean. Its capital is Brasilia and its
most populated city is São Paulo. It is
the third largest country in America.

The country was gradually settled by

Portuguese seeking to escape poverty,
and by nobles who were granted
colonial privileges.

Brazil's cultural identity is a mosaic of

influences, from the original indigenous
peoples to the African and European
heritage. This unique mix is reflected
in the music, dance and joyful spirit
that characterizes Brazilians.

Brazil is mostly known for its music, its

soccer, its carnival and its impressive
nature. However, in the country there
is a good number of architectural works
worth visiting and admiring, from the
oldest buildings we have the
Amazonas Theater
For more than 120 years it has been a
space dedicated to music.
And in the most modern building in
Brazil we have the Museum of
Tomorrow, it is located next to the
Maua Pier in Rio de Janeiro, in an old
abandoned area of the city, the
building was part of the area's
renovation plan for the Games. 2016

Lifestyle:
Hygiene habits: Brazil is a tropical
country descended from aborigines,
something that, according to historians,
explains many of our hygiene habits.
You will notice that Brazilians shower
every day, sometimes more than once
depending on the heat.

Bathrooms: You will notice that in the

bathrooms there is always a bin for
toilet paper.
 Greetings: They usually greet people
with handshakes, hugs and kisses on
the cheek.

Punctuality: We cannot say that

Brazilian punctuality is like a Swiss
watch. Working hours are generally
respected.

Regionalisms and accents: The official

language of Brazil is Portuguese, but
being such a large country it is
common to use different expressions
for the same words.

Food and drinks: We have a wide

range of typical foods and drinks
among which is the famous caipirinha.
But don't forget to try the coxinhas
(shredded chicken, covered in butter
and molded in a container that
resembles a chicken leg, brigadeiros
(chocolate truffles), cheese bread,
dried meat, feijoada (pork stew), rice
and grains, fruits such as açaí, guava,
cashews, jackfruit tree, mangoes,
sugar cane juice, cachaça, lager beer
and our coffee.

Why visit Brazil?

Brazil is an incredibly diverse and
exciting country that offers a wide
range of experiences for visitors. From
its stunning beaches to the Amazon
rainforest, to vibrant cities like Rio de
Janeiro and São Paulo, Brazil has a lot
to offer in terms of culture, nature and
gastronomy. Furthermore, the warmth
and joy of its people make the visit
unforgettable. Not to mention Carnival,
a holiday you should experience at
least once in your life!

Carmen Maria:Venice, known as the

"Most Serene Republic of Venice," is a
unique city in the world. Founded in the
5th century, the city became a maritime
and commercial power during the
Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Its
history is marked by wealth, art, and
cultural influence.

The city of Venice is characterized by

its unique architecture, its canals
serving as streets, and its rich cultural
history. It is famous for its bridges,
squares, and historical buildings, such
as St. Mark's Basilica and the Doge's
Palace.

attracting artists, merchants, and
travelers from around the world. Its
annual carnival is known for its
dazzling masks and festivities.

The city faces unique challenges due

to its location in a lagoon and the rising
sea levels, leading to constant efforts
to preserve its unique architecture and
 cultural heritage.

Venice is a popular tourist destination

due to its incomparable beauty, rich
history, and romantic atmosphere.
Visitors can enjoy gondola rides,
explore its narrow streets, and indulge
in delicious Venetian cuisine.
