A TRIP TO AMERICA

In "The Autobiography of Kwame Nkrumah" (from Ghana), the author states that in 1935
Kwame Nkrumah Had successfully applied to Lincoln university for admission. He needed to
get to US. However, no American consul in the Gold coast hence, Kwame travelled to UK to
obtain a US Visa. Kwame also travelled to Lagos in Nigeria. Kwame's relatives funded towards
his trip. Kwame's trip to America was set. However, Kwame's mother could not bear the
news that Kwame would soon travel to America. The next morning ,Kwame was ready for the
trip though He felt homesick. Finally, Kwame's mother bade Him farewell.
