This document contains generic information about products. These can be instructions that

1. COMPATIBILITY / DEPENDENCIES TO OTHER PRODUCTS

This is valid only for Flexi BSC with CP1D-A processor units.

3. SUMMARY

This Technical Support Note presents compatibility of different AS7-D unit

interchangeability and vendors when AS7-D is used together with CP1D-A.

4. DETAILED DESCRIPTION

There is a limitation in usage of AS7-D interchangeability code “C” from vendor Advantech.

This unit cannot be used in same computer unit with vendor Radisys AS7-D
interchangeability code “C”. Also it cannot be used in same computer unit with any
interchangeability code “D” or newer AS7-D unit.

This unit support only 32-bit transactions and therefore cannot be used in same computer
unit with units using 64-bit transactions. If units are used in same computer unit there may
happen severe errors in AS7 functionality with certain configuration or high traffic load.

This unit is fully functional when used together with a similar interchangeability (C) and
vendor (AT) unit.

5. SOLUTION / INSTRUCTIONS

The AS7-D interchangeability code “C” with serial number starting with AT (vendor
Advantech) cannot be used as a pair together with any other interchangeability or vendor
AS7-D unit in same computer unit (BCSU or OMU).
