TECHNICAL S P E C I F I C A T I O N S
1. PROJECT BILLBOARD
A. For the information and guidance of the public about the on-going projects.
B. Standard size of 8ft x 8ft tarpaulin with white background printed all major details
about the project.
2. EARTHWORKS:
A. Excavation of footing of structures
B. All stakes, benchmark shall be carefully guarded and preserved.
3. FORM WORKS:
A. All wood to be used in this construction shall be sound, good quality lumber, free from
large loose knots and otherwise suitable to facilitate finishing. Lumber subject to concrete
contact shall be or any substitute to the same group.
4. REINFORCING STEEL
A. Unless otherwise shown on plans, reinforcing steel bars shall be deformed and
approved quality. Reinforcing bars shall conform to the standard requirements of
ASTM specification for billet Steel Bars for Concrete reinforcement (A15-625) and to
specifications for minimum requirements for the deformed steel bars for concrete
reinforcement (A305-56). All reinforcing bars shall be brand new, in good condition
and of good quality, free from unwanted deformities and shall have no signs of
deterioration such as rust
5. CONCRETE AND MASONRY WORK
A. Cement for the concrete shall conform to the requirements of specifications for
Portland Cement (ASTM C-150).
B. Coarse aggregates and fine aggregates shall consist of a hard, durable, clean, uncoated
of any impurities and of good quality. The shape of the particles shall be generally rounded and
reasonably free from the elongated particles.
C. Proportioning of concrete shall conform to A.S.T.M. standard. Concrete shall have
consistency that will be workable in the required position. It shall be of such consistency that
it will flow around the reinforcing steel.
6. PAINTING AND FINISHING
A. All painting and finishing shall be done in accordance with a color scheme approved by the
architect and the owner.
B. Unless otherwise specified all paints and painting materials shall be Dutch Boy or any
equivalent brand acceptable by the owner.
C. All materials for painting and finishing shall be delivered to the site with the original labels,
packages or containers intact and not tampered.
D. All painting cork shall be done in the conventional and approved manner so as to produce
best finish. Painting shall not begin until all other construction works are finished.
E. All cracks, nail holes, minor surface defects shall be filled with putty after the first coat of
paint has dried. Finally, all painting work shall be coated at least three coats of the same
brand. Allow all painted surface to dry very well. Care and protection on wet paint shall be
observed
