A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAYOR, HONORABLE VICTOR MA

REGIS N. SOTTO, TO GRANT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IN THE AMOUNT OF

THIRTY-NINE THOUSAND PESOS (PHP 39,000.00) TO THE PAMANTASAN NG
LUNGSOD NG PASIG DANCESPORT TEAM TO HELP DEFRAY THE COST OF ITS
PARTICIPATION IN THE PDSF 1ST RANKING AND NATIONAL COMPETITION ON
APRIL 6 – 7, 2024, AT THE PHILSPORT ARENA, PASIG CITY, AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, Section 17, Article II of the 1987 Constitution provides that the State
recognizes the vital role of the youth in nation-building and shall promote and protect their
physical, moral, spiritual, and social well-being. It shall inculcate in the youth patriotism and
nationalism, and encourage their involvement in public and civic affairs;
WHEREAS, the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig Dancesport Team is seeking for
financial support from the City Government of Pasig for its participation in PDSF 1 st Ranking
and National Competition to be held on April 6 – 7, 2024 at Philsports Arena, Pasig City;
WHEREAS, providing support to the team can significantly help boost the performance
and morale of its members who will face challenges during the competition knowing that the
City Government is behind them;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Sangguniang Panlungsod, resolves, as it is hereby resolved, to
authorize the Honorable City Mayor, Victor Ma Regis N. Sotto to grant financial assistance in
the amount of Thirty-Nine Thousand pesos (Php 39,000.00) to the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng
Pasig Dancesport Team to help defray the cost of its participation in the PDSF 1 st Ranking and
National Competition on April 6 – 7, 2024 at Philsports Arena, Pasig City.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the budgetary requirement to implement this Resolution
shall be chargeable against any available funds in the City Treasury, subject to existing COA
rules and regulations.
RESOLVED, FINALLY, that the Secretary of the Sangguniang Panlungsod furnish all
concerned agencies/offices copies of this Resolution, as duly adopted/approved by the
Sangguniang Panlungsod.
