A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR, VICTOR MA.

REGIS N. SOTTO, TO GRANT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IN THE AMOUNT OF

EIGHTY-SEVEN THOUSAND PESOS (PHP 87,000.00) TO THE PASIG CITY
MUAYTHAI TEAM FOR THEIR PARTICIPATION IN THE WOMEN’S MARTIAL
ARTS FESTIVAL, NATIONAL MUAYTHAI CHAMPIONSHIPS AND NATIONAL
YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIPS 2022 AT SUBIC BAY METROPOLITAN AUTHORITY
ZAMBALES, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Section 17, Article II of the 1987 Philippine Constitution provides that, the
State shall give priority to education, science and technology, arts, culture, and sports to foster
patriotism and nationalism, accelerate social progress, and promote total human liberation and
development;
WHEREAS, the Pasig City Muaythai Team is seeking for financial support from the
City Government of Pasig for its participation in the Women’s Martial Arts Festival, National
Muaythai Championships and National Youth Championships 2022 at Subic Bay Metropolitan
Authority Zambales;
WHEREAS, providing support to the team can significantly help in boosting its morale
as its members will face the challenges during the competition, knowing that the City
Government is behind them;
NOW, THEREFORE, on a motion duly seconded, the Sangguniang Panlungsod
resolves, as it hereby resolved, to authorize the City Mayor, Honorable Victor Ma. Regis N.
Sotto, to grant financial assistance to Pasig City Muaythai Team in the amount of Eighty-Seven
Thousand pesos (Php 87,000.00) for their participation in the Women’s Martial Arts Festival,
National Muaythai Championships and National Youth Championships 2022 at Subic Bay
Metropolitan Authority Zambales
RESOLVED, FURTHERMORE, that the budgetary requirement to implement this
Resolution shall be chargeable any available funds in the City Treasury, subject to existing COA
rules and regulations.
RESOLVED, FINALLY, that the Secretary of the Sanggunian Panlungsod furnish all
concerned agencies/offices copies of this Resolution, as duly adopted/approved by the
Sanggunian Panlungsod.
