A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HONORABLE CITY MAYOR, VICTOR MA

REGIS N. SOTTO TO GRANT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IN THE AMOUNT OF

THREE HUNDRED FOURTEEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED PESOS TO THE
PASIG CITY SOFTBALL TEAMS FOR THEIR PARTICIPATION IN THE NCR –
SOUTH LUZON QUALIFYING ROUND OF THE 2024 LITTLE LEAGUE PHILIPPINE
SERIES, TO BE HELD ON JANUARY 26 TO FEBRUARY 3, 2024 IN TANUAN CITY,
BATANGAS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Section 19 (1), Article XIV of the Constitution also provides that, the State
shall promote physical education and encourage sports programs, league competitions, and
amateur sports, including training for international competitions, to foster self-discipline,
teamwork, and excellence for the development of a healthy and alert citizenry;

WHEREAS, the Pasig Softball Team is seeking for financial assistance from the City
Government of Pasig for their participation in the NCR – South Luzon Qualifying Round of the
2024 Little League Philippines to be held on January 26 to February 3, 2024 in Tanuan City,
Batangas;

WHEREAS, providing support to the team can significantly help in boosting their
morale as its members will face the challenges during the competition, knowing that the City
Government is behind them;

NOW, THEREFORE, on a motion duly seconded, the Sangguniang Panlungsod

resolves, as it hereby resolved, to authorize the City Mayor, Honorable Victor Ma. Regis N.
Sotto, to grant financial assistance in the amount of Three Hundred Fourteen Thousand Five
Hundred pesos (Php 314,500.00) to the Pasig Softball Team for their participation in the NCR –
South Luzon Qualifying Round of the 2024 Little League Philippine Series to be held on January
26 to February 3, 2024 in Tanauan City, Batangas.

RESOLVED, FURTHERMORE, that the budgetary requirement to implement this

Resolution shall be chargeable against any available funds in the City Treasury, subject to
existing COA Rules and Regulations.

RESOLVED, FINALLY, that the Secretary of the Sanggunian Panlungsod furnish all
concerned agencies/offices copies of this Resolution, as duly adopted/approved by the
Sanggunian Panlungsod.
