2015-16 Workshop on Use of 27 21.09.2015 Dr Bijan Sarkar, Assistant Professor of Education, University of Kalyani is the
Statistical Tools in speaker. Dr Sarkar in his lecture delineates the idea of research, its steps and types.

Research about the usual statistical tools used in hypothesis testing. He also gives the idea of
parametric and non-parametric tests.

Workshop on Use of 20 26.09.2015 Dr. Kalyan Sengupta, Professor, IISWBM is the speaker. Prof Sengupta basically
SPSS in Social talks about the use of SPSS package in the social science research. In lucid
Science Research language with PPT he shows every statistical tools that can be handled with the
help of this package.

Workshop on 14 22.12.2015 Dr. Srikanta Kundu, Asst. Prof. CDS, Trivandrum is the speaker. Dr Kundu in his
Quantitative lecture starts from statistical inference. He basically deals with the econometric
Approach in Social tools where he teaches problems of estimation, testing of hypothesis. He ends hid
Science Research lecture with the tidbids of multiple regression
Workshop on 22 22.01.2016 Dr. Utpal Kr Dey, Professor of Economics, NEHU, Shillong is the speaker. Prof
Writing Research De in his lecture very simply gives the idea of writing a good research paper. He
Paper in APA Style talks about different styles of referencing such as MLA style , APA style, Chigago
style, highlighting the APA one.

Workshop on 22 22.01.2016 Dr Bholanath Ghosh, Assistant Professor, ISI, Kolkata is the speaker. Dr Ghosh
Conducting a makes the audience aware of tricks to be followed during conducting a research
Research project project. He also talks about cautions to be taken into account before conducting a
research project.
2016-17 Workshop on 20 18.03.2017 Mr Souvik Dutta, Head -Market Reseach, CRM & Market Analytics, SPENCER'S
Research is the speaker. Mr Dutta shows how SPSS package is used in the social science
Methodology research. In lucid language with PPT he shows every statistical tools that can be
handled with the help of this package.
