1.0 INTRODUCTION
1.1 PROJECT BACKGROUND

The Drinking Water (DW) system supplies potable water to all Plant areas and the
Residential Area for domestic use, to the safety showers and eye washes, and to the
cooling water systems as make-up. Feed to Residential Area, also acts an additional,
firewater supply (RA).
In Industrial Area, DW distribution network is designed for 447tpd flowrate, and average
flowrate of 223tpd, considering Base Plant population scenario. Over the years, there
has been considerable additions of facilities to the network and population growth
within the IA. More facilities associated with T-7 and IA South-end Development are still
in the offing to put extra demand on this network. Some existing facilities connected to
this network are currently experiencing low DW pressure.
This study will provide insight on the impact of demand growth on the network;
determine the performance/challenges of the current and future demands on the
network; and recommend possible interventions to address challenges identified.
1.2 PROJECT DRIVERS
• Integrity of the Asset to provide for existing/future DW demand in IA Distribution

Network.
• Provide recommendations for decision making to address any current challenges
and additional demands from new facilities.
1.3 PURPOSE OF DOCUMENT
The purpose of this document is to present the project progress and challenges faced
during the project execution.

2.0 PROJECT SCOPE OF WORK
The entire IA DW distribution network starting from 3” line (3”–W 45004–18080X) upstream
pressure letdown valve (45PCV-055); with view of additional DW requirements from T7 and
IA Southside projects, with provisions for future projects within the IA Area
2.1 PROJECT OBJECTIVES
• Develop a model of the current IA DW distribution network and carry out hydraulic
analysis of the model
• Provide a report that captures measurable and sustainable recommendations with a
view of current and future demand profile
• Provide recommendations on future tie-ins and reticulation to capture T7+ and South-
end IA development
• Based on the overall potable water layouts produced for the IA Admin Building, carry
out hydraulic study and produce PEFS, PFS,
• Isometrics, Booster Pumps specs etc necessary for the IA Southside Projects.

3.0 REVIEW WORKSHOPS
Joint multi-discipline Design Review Workshops was conducted during the project
execution.
The Joint Design Review took place virtually on Microsoft Teams Platform. The Design
Review was facilitated internally by both Frazimex & NLNG subject matter experts to
ensure that the engineering design was fit for purpose, operable, safe, and cost effective
for the Company.
3.2 Joint Design Review
The Design Review Workshop was held on August 1st, 2023 virtually on Microsoft Teams
Platform. It was facilitated by Frazimex representatives who made presentations per
discipline to provide basis for the design conducted up to the Workshop date, to firm up
alignments between counterparts on design documents, and to address any concerns
with the list of deliverables agreed to be reviewed prior to the meeting.
A total of seventeen (17) action items were recorded with responsible parties assigned to
both Frazimex & NLNG departments respectively. As at the Project Close Out, the status
of Design Review comments is as follows:

6.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE
6.1 Quality procedure
Client adopted Contractor’s Quality Manual established under a valid ISO 9001certificate
(Ref. FEL-QM-001), Project Quality Audit Plan (Ref. 15.007-D-0008) was developed and
approved. This detailed the surveillance checks and audits requirements for the project.
The surveillance check helped in ensuring quality is maintained.
A Quality Engineer from each party was mobilized on the project to ensure that the
Company processes and procedures were followed accordingly. The quality of
engineering deliverables was the responsibility of the lead in each discipline, and
approved by the Engineering Manager of Frazimex.
A dedicated QA/QC Engineer was mobilized on the project in order to ensure
implementation of good Quality Management System as enumerated below:
• Review of Project Management Procedures;
• Preparation and Presentation of Quality Assurance awareness orientation to
project team members;
• Review of disciplines procedures/process plan. (i.e. Process, Mechanical, Civil/
Structures, DCC, Project Controls, Piping/Layout, Instrumentation, Electrical,
Technical Safety;
• Preparation of Project Internal Quality Audit Schedule;
• Preparation of audit checklists for all disciplines and confirmation of audit dates;
• Internal audit;
• Preparation of Internal Audit Report and Audit follow - up activities;
• Close-out of Audit;
• QA/QC Surveillance checks on Processes and deliverables;
• QA/QC check on quality of deliverables.

7.0 HSE PERFORMANCE - SAFETY STATISTICS
At the inception of the HYDRAULIC ANALYSIS AND RETICULATION STUDY OF NLNG IA

DRINKING WATER DISTRIBUTION NETWORK PROJECT in 9th May 2023, Health Safety and
Environment (HSE) proposed to carry out several activities and documentations which
included; HSE Plan, Journey Management Plan, Medical Emergency Procedure, Fire
Emergency Response Procedure, Monthly Safety Meetings, Safety Moments at every
Meetings, HSE Weekly Alerts, HSE Induction for all project team members, HSE Monitoring
& Surveillance with the use of the UAUC reporting forms and Safety Statistics.
One (1) emergency drills were carried out on this project. To ensure safety alertness and
culture among team members. All HSE activities have been documented and delivered
accordingly (Ref. Table below).
Towards the end of this project, HSE focused more on surveillance, monitoring, alerts and
reminders. The UAUC forms were a vital tool to achieving this goal, and several lessons
were learned in areas such as security, ergonomics, obstructions, housekeeping etc.
The comprehensive summary of the UAUC reports have being complied in a data base
shown in Project HSE Statistics table.
In conclusion, HSE has being able to the best of its ability addressed occurring safety issues
on the job, and also inculcated an enduring safety awareness in all its team members,
thus ensuring and zero LTI.

8.0 TECHNICAL QUERIES/ RFI REGISTER
Technical Queries (TQs) were used as a channel to request for technical clarification from
Company and Requests for Information (RFIs) were issued to Company to request for
information and existing documents / drawings when needed for further clarifications and
information. None of these queries, requests or responses led to deviation or scope
addition on the Project. A detailed look of this register can be seen in APPENDIX II.

9.0 LESSONS LEARNED
Lessons learned workshop was not conducted at the end of the project but a lessons
learned register was developed and updated with issues encountered on the project. This
register also includes the recommendations and steps taken by all members of the project
team (Client and Contractor) to resolve the issues encountered. This register is aimed at
ensuring future projects benefit from lessons learned.
The lesson learnt worksheet is attached in Appendix IV.
