prepared by me after the completion of Industry visit at Indore Sahakari Dugdh Sangh

2. Objective of Industry Visit
The purpose of the visit was to provide the students with an opportunity to learn practically and
to understand various functional aspects of business management, such as how practices are
adopted for smooth and uninterrupted services. It also gives the students an exposure to current
work practices in addition to theoretical knowledge being taught at their college classrooms.
The objective of the dairy unit visit was to provide the students an insight regarding the internal
working of Sanchi Dairy Unit. And to make them understand that theoretical knowledge is just
not enough for a successful professional career, there’s far more beyond academics.

During an industry visit to Indore Sahakari Dugdha Sangh, several observations were made
about the operations, processes, and overall functioning of the organization.
3. Product Range: The organization may showcase a diverse range of dairy products
manufactured from the collected milk. This includes milk, ghee (clarified butter),
butter, cheese, yogurt, and other value-added products. The visit provided an
opportunity to observe the production processes for some of these items.

4. Learnings or Knowledge Gain from Visit
Sanchi plant visit provided students a much relevant practical perspective, as how the
actual work happens within the plant unit and the larger business as a whole.
Sanchi is one of the leading food/dairy brands in India. It was a great opportunity for the students
to visit one of the most renowned Dairy Industries in India and acquire knowledge about the
production line. During the visit, students came to know about the various processes like
pasteurization, homogenization process and packaging of milk along with the manufacturing
processes of various milk products like different types of Liquid Milk, Ghee, White Butter,
Shrikhand, Lassi, Paneer and Curd.
It was a wonderful and interactive visit, where the students understood the production processes,
products and operation. Manager briefed them about the entire plant operation process from
receipt of milk at dairy dock to dispatching of milk & milk products for distribution. It was an
exciting educational experience for all students as they gained practical learning from the visit.
5. Suggestions
1. Interactions with Management: Arrange for participants to have interactions with the
management team of Indore Sahakari Dugdha Sangh. This can include discussions on the
organization's history, challenges faced, future plans, and the cooperative model.
2. Q&A Session: Allocate time for a dedicated question-and-answer session, where
participants can ask any remaining queries they have about the organization, its

processes, or the dairy industry in general. This will provide clarity on specific areas of
interest and enable participants to gain a deeper understanding.
3. Takeaways and Feedback: Conclude the visit by providing participants with
informational materials, such as brochures or pamphlets that summarize the key aspects
of Indore Sahakari Dugdha Sangh's operations. Encourage participants to share their
feedback on the visit, allowing them to express their thoughts, suggestions, and any
further queries they may have.
6. Conclusion
In conclusion, the industry visit to Indore Sahakari Dugdha Sangh was a valuable
experience that provided insights into the organization's operations, quality standards,
cooperative model, and farmer empowerment initiatives. The visit showcased the Sangh's
commitment to excellence, sustainability, and the overall growth of the dairy industry.
