Admission Into The Hall of Residence
With reference to the above subject matter, I am directed to inform all students who have either paid or have
been cleared to pay for accommodation that the process for admission into the hall of residence shall be
centrally done by the relevant Departments as follows:
Consequently, all concerned students are advised to come with the following documents arranged in the order
below:
Please kindly note that the resumption date remains Wednesday, January 10, 2024.
STEP 1: Visit the Students’ Affairs (Table 1) for submission of the above documents
and the proof of payment for school fees and accommodation.
STEP 2: Proceed to the Bursary Department (Table 2) and tender proof of payment for
confirmation and signing of the Accommodation Clearance Form. The
Students’ Account Officer shall then issue a signed BMU Receipt and as well
Stamp and Sign the Accommodation Clearance Form. Student shall then
return to Table 1 (Students’ Affairs Officer) to sign both the Accommodation
Clearance Form and the Hostel Allocation Undertaking Form.
STEP 3: Student shall then proceed to the Hall Warden (Table 3 Male, Table 4 Female)
for signing of relevant forms (Accommodation Clearance Form and Hostel
Allocation Undertaking Form) and make photocopy of same and submit
original at (Table 1) and the photocopy at Table 3 (if Male) or Table 4 (if
Female) for filing.
STEP 4: Proceed to the Hall of Residence with signed allocation documents to the Hall
Supervisors for checking of students’ luggage.
STEP 5: Proceed to the Porters for issuance of Room Key and the Room Facility
Checklist (RFC) which shall be signed by the appointed Head of the Room.
Please Note: The most Senior Student is the automatic Head of that Room.
That is, where there are 300 level students sharing a room with either 200 or
100 level students as the case may be, the 300 level student shall be appointed
Head of that room in question. However, where there are only a particular
level students (100, 200, 300) in a room, the Hall Warden shall appoint the
Head of the Room.
